Taco Depot — Restaurant in Ross Township

$14.75 for nachos to serve 4 people. Ordered I said I need nachos to serve four with everything on the side the only come with cheese. I ordered salsa and guacamole also Got to the pickup and told the price was $14.75 really for 4 orders of nachos chips with 6 ounces of salsa and 1/2 ounce of guacamole. One tiny cup of guacamole. I should have realized that this food experience was going to be bad by the rundown dirty appearance of the exterior. I looked inside at the drive up window and the kitchen was filthy also. I was handed my food and pulled out into the parking lot. I stopped to check my food only to find out that they had put this cheap canned cheese sauce all over the chips. I went back and he gave me one order that was correct and told me to keep the other three. Got home and opened the containers to find soggy oily chips. The chips with the cheese sauce dumped on were soggy and inedible The cheese tasted like water wit some hot sauce in it. I tried to eat the chips with no cheese but as I started to use the salsa I was shocked to find chips in the salsa from someone else. I know what they do. When people dine in they put the salsa on the table. If there is salsa left they return it to the kitchen to be used again. THE 1/2 ounce of guacamole was brown and spoiled. Placed order on Grubhub even though Merrillville location isn't the closest to me I chose it because they have a root beer float on menu so I placed order because really wanted shake. Got call from them saying they didn’t have root beer so did I want different flavor well no that was reason I placed order. So it was canceled. Grubhub won’t refund me & I get that Grubhub not refunding me isn’t on taco depot but when I called to let them know Grubhub wasn’t making good. All I got told wasn’t anything they could do & not their fault. And it was my fault because girl asked me & I said didn’t want different flavor. Really ?! Wow they could have let Grubhub know they couldn’t provide what was ordered How is it my fault because yes I said just cancel because they didn’t have what I wanted. & I get restaurants run out of stuff but than inform Grubhub or at least don’t say it’s customers fault because they didn’t want a chocolate or vanilla or any other shake flavor. I order because of root beer shake so why would I want different flavor. If you are in this area YOU NEED TO STOP HERE! I found out about this place from doing my doordashing, I saw a photo of the tacos that usually come in Birrea, but here they make it with barbacoa. Here they call them the Karla tacos and just so u know the juice is extra u have to order it. I didn't know this so I placed in order on grubhub for them. I didn't have to wait long for them and I recommend u call in or order online ahead of time. I asked about my juice since I didn't see it in there, she told me it was extra but gave it to me for free which I thought was nice. On top of the nice service these tacos were literally the. Best. Tacos. Ever! And I am a taco enthusiast, I love trying tacos at different places but these Karla tacos take the cake I will be here at least once a week now. I cannot recommend this...
