People keep telling me this is the best Mcdonalds of all the land. Not sure what they're basing that off of? Because it's conveniently on your way to work or dropping kid off at school? I agree the food is fresh and crispy usually but that's probably because they're nonstop getting orders so they have to keep making more food always, making it fresh almost always. It's just a good centralised localation. Outside that, there's nothing spectacular about this place. People around the Toledo metro area are not driving all the way here just for this Mcdonalds. In fact the one on Talmadge and Monroe is actually better. Better customer service that's for sure.
Let me quit "hating" and tell you why this place bothers me. Today (just a little bit ago) I took my 3 and 5 yr old daughters in with me to get something to eat. First young man (skinny kid with dark hair and mustache) promptly came to take our order. That's perfect. Super courteous. I order two happy meals with a chocolate milk and chocolate milkshake and two mcdoubles and small fry for myself (order 249 on 4-21-24). I didn't expect them to take order out to us, that's new to me, but some lazy, soft and fluffy soy boy brought our food out, glared at me, didn't say one word to me, I said thank you sir. I realised after a minute he didn't bring our drinks. That's ok, mistakes happen. I went up to the counter and stood there for about 3 mins with everyones backs turned to the counter. I thought, well I get it, they're busy.. Then I realised most of them were not. They're all just standing around looking at screens not doing anything. I politely asked the soyboy with the girls voice and his feet pointed completely outwards (a sign of sitting down too much) if he could grab us a chocolate milk and milkshake that I ordered. He looked, said nothing, grabbed a milk, put it on the counter, I said, sorry to trouble you (I'm starting to get irritated with how rude these kids are now days. He grabbed the milk because that was easy, he then passed the buck onto the girls behind the wall. He asked if they could make a milkshake. He never once said a single word to me, all with a look as if I'm inconveniencing him from standing around. He went back to looking at the TV screens literally doing nothing. He eventually delivered another tray to another table after 3 more minutes. I then saw two young girls in the drive thru window to the left of the counter. I said excuse me, is there any way one of you girls can grab me a chocolate milkshake I ordered. They asked to see receipt just to make sure. I showed them, she promptly made it, and said sorry for the wait. She was courteous and polite. I said it's ok. If maybe the weakest link standing around doing nothing could've been bothered to do it I wouldn't have asked you.
I sat down with my girls to eat, and soyboy comes walking by for an outside order that had to pull forward and wait. He went back to get Ketchup packet, dropped a Ketchup packet on the floor because he's probably so damn lazy he can't hold anything other than a PS5 controller and fat sugary soda beverage in his hands, kicked the packet almost squishing it, picked it up and gave it to the customer outside. A few minutes later he was pretending to sweep, but was lazy swinging his arms back n forth sweeping nothing. I was headed to the trash can at that moment to dump trash in can, and he rest the Broom and dust pan against it just then, but I reached around said excuse me and dumped it in anyways. Someone take this kid to Mcdonalds in the hood. He would get ate alive.
It's obvious the kids parents felt he was too lazy, eating all the trash food in the house as a staple diet food source and playing video games all day, and thus forced him to go get a job. It's obvious he's there against his will. He can't even make it at Mcdonalds, then there's probably no hope for him in the real world. Maybe he'll get drafted in the upcoming war. Soyboy is a goner.
It's obvious there's no management to keep these types of kids in check. Chic Fila and Culver's from...
Read moreI've kept myself from posting a bad review but now I can no longer keep it in. I live across the street, so I am a regular here at the McDonald's on Buck Rd. I used to work here as my first job back in 2015 and I've always lived in Rossford so I've been coming here since it opened up. Now, I am much older. Today, I am what you could call a group organizer, an event coordinator, "the guy with the house" as in I host a lot of people and a lot of us live very close by. So when I speak, I speak for several others. Since I frequently come here. I am always bringing others along. 2 to 5 people at a time. We don't go over the 2 orders of course. The reason I bring this all up, is because they all get to witness the terrible service McDonald's gives me EVERYTIME I come in. Its been going on for months and I've kept quiet. I always tell everyone "It's fine" but they always tell me "its not fine" and they say "it's mistreatment."
I think everyone knows that the McDonald's on Buck Rd is going downhill very fast. I'm sure even the store and district know about it. By Downhill, I'm talking about customer service and Let's talk about some of my personal complaints.
#1) What Happened: A couple months ago, I was charged for mayo packets. I had a large order I had a full car of people to witness everything (there opinions of Buck Rd McDonald's have been changed) One other person in the car also had a large order. (we didn't go over 2 orders) I forgot my wallet, so I had to go back home and grab it. but like I said earlier, I live across the street. The employees gave us a really hard time for forgetting it. Going so far as to "make fun" of us. I came back, and I was harassed almost as if they thought I was trying to screw them over cause back in the day when I worked there, that was a thing. The reason I actually forgot my card was cause i left it in my car thinking we were going to head to McDonald's soon and take my car but one of my friends decided that he would drive for us. I completely forgot I left my stuff in my car so that it'd be ready for us to go. Manager Derek was the primary guy to service us that day. He was the guy who was giving us a hard time by.. -- Blaming the customers (us) for his timers being too long -- Charging the customers (us) for mayo packets when they are free but you can get away with charging money for them. -- Harassing the customer (us) for forgetting my card, which was an honest mistake. I was nice too, I said sorry. What a mistake.
I will Have to post more in...
Read moreAbout 8 months ago I put a review in for this place. NOTHING has changed. I walked hoping something had changed, nope. I was about to sit down and noticed ketchup on a chair. I saw employees walk passed it over a dozen times and none of them cleaned it. I saw a guy with a McDonald's tie taking pictures of what I'm going to assume private paperwork out in the open. I said to an employee loud enough for the tie guy to hear that there was ketchup on a chair and pointed to it. The employee have me an attitude and looked at me like I was calling him names or something. A customer say near the ketchup and before he sat in it I told him to look out for it. The employee walked by it several more times. It has been almost an hour and still not cleaned up. The customer decided to clean it instead. A group of teenagers came in and every single employee that have them the food was either rude, forgot something in the order or was completely out of uniform.
I see the teenagers have pretty much torn up the place with trash everywhere. I'm sure I will still see the trash here in another 8 months. McDonald's has lowered their standards with hiring the stupid, lazy and those that refuse to follow directions. Good luck to any customers coming this way.
About a week after they remodeled their lobby I couldn't find a clean table anywhere. It was 8am on a Sunday. I asked the employee when they opened that day and he said "I don't know when they opened. I don't know what happens when I'm not here." I made the mistake of asking the same guy to help me with the touch screen menu a week later and he said "I don't know how to work it I'm not a customer". A few weeks later I was with my wife and she order a burger with NO pickles on the touch screen menu. Of course it came with pickles. I don't understand what's so hard about reading a screen and knowing how to do the job your...
