Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Round Rock

First, let me say, the subs are very good. This review is mostly about the customer service. I ordered a sub and a bag of chips about 2 1/2 weeks ago. When I got home and opened my order, there were no chips. I immediately called the store and asked to be credited for the missing item. I was told that they checked with the employee who packaged the order and they remembered putting chips in the bag. I assured them that there were no chips and asked to speak with the employee who packaged the ordered. Instead of allowing me to speak with this employee, they said they spoke with the manager who would check the cameras and get back in touch with me. No mind you, we are talking about a $1.75 item. As of today, I have not received a return call from this store. I won't be returning, not because of the food quality, but because of the customer service. I will try the new sub shop that was recently built down the street. Please check your orders before you leave this location because they certainly won't make it right.

UPDATE: I received a call from the General Manager, who was very apologetic about the delayed response. He indicated he was not aware of incident. Order a #43 on the amazing cheese bread. The good: Brand new, convenient location, all employees wore masks properly and customers were fully isolated from the food prep area by a plastic curtain. The So-so: The new menu design would be a bit confusing compared to older locations for people new to Jersey Mikes, although all JM locations have a pepsi soda fountain, this location does not have Dr. Pepper on it or have doctor pepper in bottles like other area locations, the regular seems a couple inches smaller than a regular from the other Round Rock JM location (though that probably just came down to chance this time). The slightly off: The #43 is a hot sandwich, and although it stayed warm on the drive home, isn't it supposed to also be wrapped in foil? I think the result would have been a bit better and steamier if so... Also, the amount of peppers/onions was lacking. Will I be back? Definitely! I love Jersey Mike's and this location is no exception. 4 stars though since they seem to still be working through being an all new location with all new employees and some choices put this location slightly behind other Jersey Mike's in the area (I'm looking at you...

My first time at Jersey Mikes didn’t turn out well. Here’s the scoop and 4 reasons why I won’t go back…

I walk in around 8pm on a Monday and there was a customer at the register with an employee, an employee cooking, and one assembling the subs behind the counter, and a customer that walked in right before me heading to the Pick Up section which is right by the register.

The cashier didn’t acknowledge his presence nor the other 2 staff (it’s a small place).

I followed the sign to the Order Here section and stood there for 5 minutes before the guy making the sandwiches said they’d be right with me.

He was making 3 sandwiches in a an extremely slow motion as if he was on something.

The lady cooking was coughing over the food, and the employee at the register was taking a long time with the customer; not sure why he was taking so long with her to checkout all awhile not acknowledging anything else.

It was off putting and wasn’t a scene I was excited about anymore so I walked out after standing there for 7 minutes.
