THE COOKIE WAS RAW
6/20/18 This place was decent when we first moved here last year, but it's been going downhill. Now this Subway is dead to me. Here's what happened the last time we ate at this location.
The workers were super slow (which isn't the worst thing in the world, but it doesn't help either). We ordered two six inch subs of the day. The second piece of bread was a good 1.5-2 inches smaller than the first piece, and when I pointed it out, the girl said it was cut unevenly. Finally, she asked if she should get another piece of bread. Yes, please. Then, the girl drenched my sandwich in mustard. It was all over the place when I went to eat and masked the taste of everything else. I knew it was a bit much when I saw her put it on, but I didn't realize it would be that bad.
They over charged us. Instead of charging for two six inch meals, the cashier run up one foot-long sub of the day, one meal, and one drink and order of cookies separately. It wasn't a huge difference in price, which was why I didn't realize it at first, but looking back over the receipt I realized what happened. I thought about telling them, but the line had gotten pretty long because of how slowly they were moving.
We ordered cookies with our meals. My boyfriend's cookie was broken. The cashier looked at it, commented quietly (to herself?) that the cookie was broken, and then shrugged and folded up the bag. The cookie was missing about 1.5 inches of the edge.
I ate my first cookie there. I had the passing thought that it didn't seem cooked all the way, but I thought it was probably just me being upset that my lunch sucked so much (I had to scrape the mustard off and it took half of my other toppings with it). The other cookie I started to eat after I went home. It had absolutely no structural integrity. I was looking at it and I realized the top was all shiny and my thumbprint was now in it. Even the edge of the cookie was super soft, and the edge is usually a bit more done than the rest of the cookie. I showed the cookie to my friend to see if she thought the same as me, and she agreed that it was super under-cooked.
I filled out the survey to let the higher ups know that their location was serving under-cooked food. That night I got a canned response about how she was sorry I was unhappy with the staff's behavior. I don't think she even read my complaint.
The location was convenient, but I'm not risking food poisoning (or...
Read moreOn June 24th I ordered delivery for my son and me. Mine was roast beef and his was the cold cut combo. Both sandwiches were ordered with extra mayo, salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar. We ordered delivery because we were temporarily staying at a motel while I was recovering from surgery.
When our order arrived, my son's was spot on. My roast beef, however, had absolutely NO CONDIMENTS! None at all. Meat and veggies only.
If I were at home I would have grumbled and just added these condiments from my own fridge but since we're at a motel, we don't have any of these things.
I called the store that made them and the manager stated they couldn't leave the store to bring me a new one and the only way to get a new one made or even get a refund was to bring it into the store. I explained the situation to her and that I couldn't leave (thus the reason for delivery in the first place)
I asked for her supervisor's contact information and she refused to give it.
My only option at this point was to go online on their contact page and file a complaint, stating all of the above. I requested a refund. I also included the pictures attached and this was the exact answer word for word I got back not once but TWICE!
"I have reviewed the audio/video surveillance oil, vinegar, Mayo salt and pepper was placed on the sandwich, if it was not made to your likings you may bring the sandwich back and the team will remake it for you in your prescience. I appreciate your feedback and the time you took to share your point of view. I apologize your last visit did not meet your expectation. I have shared your feedback with my team to improve our customer service.
Thank you for being a loyal Subway® customer and we look forward to serving you again in the future.
Christine Davis Area Manager"
So basically, even though I submitted a photo to you of exactly what my sandwich looked like, you're calling me a liar? Well, I guess they don't care about customer service OR the fact that neither my son or I will ever eat at your...
Read moreThis is a health code violation. The server here was alone and slow and, frankly, I think he had some other problems. I'm okay with that. However he moved around the store touching things without changing his gloves and he kicked the oven door shut. Simply put, he used his filthy shoe to close the oven door, whose buttons he then went to press for the next customer and did not even change gloves. When I called him out for this he decided to stop and stare at me with two people that have been in line for at least 10 minutes. He was trying to stare me down.
I will be calling the corporate office about this.
EDIT: Sam, the man I am complaining about, is actually the MANAGER of that store. I told him I was calling the corporate office and he said he would lodge his own complaint against me. OOooOOO is there a Subway police system? Edit 2- they will not answer my calls and I have given my contact info to three locations. I am calling the health department.
Edit 3: After talking to the area manager, Kerry, I have to recommend you don't eat at any Subway in the round rock area. The lack of basic hygiene will make you sick, and if you call to complain you are the problem from Kerry's point of view. I pleaded her not to poison anyone… but that did not go over well. In fact, until I talk to Subway headquarters, don’t eat...
