Boon & Company — Restaurant in Round Top

Boon & Co. a new restaurant/cafe, gourmet grocer and merchant located in the large, white building on South Washington Street (Route 237) between West Austin St. and West Wantke St. is the latest edition to Round Top, Texas's restaurant scene. Inside Boon and Co. reminds me of The Low Country Market in Beaufort, South Carolina, a fine restaurant/cafe in and surrounded by a gourmet grocery and market. Atmosphere, service and food are all good. There is a full bar, a very good wine list. Prices are inline with the overall quality. The restrooms are nice, clean and handicapped accessible.

Boon & Co. is brand new, they had a soft opening during the Round Top fall antique show and won't be complete and fully open until January. I was very disappointed. Knowing that the chef from duos and the manager came from duos, should do a better menu. Caesar salad had no taste. My chicken was dried that I that I wanted on the side. My pizza that I bought was uncooked I spent $81 plus tip for a two meal person which was undesirable. Boone & Co is a welcomed addition to Round Top. I live here so it's nice to have a place with more flair. The croissants are some of the best I have ever had in the US. Very open and simple inside, with a set of cute shops selling trendy albeit overpriced items. No antiques, just good food and coffees. Will definitely come back to try more of the menu.
