Such a fun stop I forgot to take photos.

I was in Round Top recently and went to this coffee shop for my morning jolt. I found much more, although the coffee is delicious and they have a versatile breakfast offering - tacos, savory and sweet muffins, pastries, cookies, and a standout rum cake! Don’t miss this, even if you normally don’t have cake for breakfast.

Pull up a chair at the long community table inlaid with turquoise made by a local resident who you might meet there. Enjoy the local character from the coffee shop regulars. Friendly and welcoming, you will learn about Round Top folklore, the townspeople, and hear some good tips for your visit.

When Carolyn, the owner and hostess, is not slinging drinks and plates you might have a lively conversation to go with your espresso or cup of Texas Pecan. There is a library room off the main one as well if you want to do some reading.

We visited here last weekend for a couple days and really enjoyed this spot a couple times. There weren’t many breakfast spots in the area that actually offered real food, More like premade bites and what not but round top coffee at some really good breakfast tacos!

I really liked their small hometown feel, Everyone there was very friendly and the atmosphere Felt like you were right at home.

We left on Father’s Day and on our way out, picked up another breakfast, taco, and apple juice for my daughter and a coffee for my wife. They snuck in this brownie for Father’s Day, How about that!

Market weekend, and this was the only place open early — completely overrun. One poor employee was trying her best to do everything: take orders, cook, and manage the chaos. Really unfair to her.

Unfortunately, we didn’t think to check our order before leaving. We got home to a hungry household only to realize we were given the wrong food.
