Golden Pot — Restaurant in Rowlett

My wife and I decided to try Golden Pot for lunch today because were recommended to by some friends. I have to say, when we first walked in the restaurant, I was surprised. We were immediately welcomed at the front desk by two smiling faces followed by our waiter who was very professional. As we walked to our booth, I noticed how warm and calm the atmosphere was. And best of all, everything looked and smelled CLEAN! This was actually a place we could relax and eat. Now the real test for us would be the food, because my wife and I love to try different asian restaurants comparing their orange chicken dish. We shared the lunch special of orange chicken with fried rice and a side of noodles. The meal was delivered to our table quickly. I am not exaggerating when I say this, all of the food was excellent! Everything from the orange chicken, rice, noodles and even the egg roll tasted fresh and homemade like nothing we've tried in the Rowlett area. The food was neatly arranged on beautiful dishes. This seriously felt like fine dining with gourmet food. We shared this meal with enough left over to use a to- go- box all for less than $12! I've never had anything from this place UNTIL tonight. I asked my daughter to stop to get me some Sugar Donuts on her way home from work tonight. As I was trying not to be picky, I didn't specify a particular place to get them.

Now I'm regretting not being picky and she's looking pissed that this place screwed us both. I was in the shower thinking of my Sugar Donuts just to get out and find REHEATED BURNT BISCUITS! I took a pic but as you can see (if you try to do a review) they're not allowing attachments. Anywhozz, the so-called DONUTS are Dark, with NO SUGAR on, around, or under them, and HARD AS HELL!

Most yet to sell shyt like this at closing but this was an hour or more Before Closing! I been going to "I LOVE CRAWFISH AND PHO" (which I Love 💕🥰) since they opened which is next door to this place. I guess this is my first and last time getting anything from this place.

Most recent order had hair in my food.🤢🤮 They said we will give you a credit for next time.... HAIR IN MY FOOD. Why would i order from you again! It was bad enough you charged me more than you should have and then were rude to me.. but this. No. Disgusting. The health department needs to be checking in on you more often. Been ordering from this place for about 6 years now. Never had any issues. They hired soonee new kid who clearly has no experience in any type of service work. I repeated my order multiple times. He asked for my card number and didn't even tell me the amount. I had to ask. Then when i ger my order it's wrong. Even though i repeated it multiple times and he even repeated it back. So when i asked for them to give me the correct order they said i would have to pay the difference. I told him it was their mistake and i shouldn't have to since i've already been inconvenienced. He refused. Then i asked for my money back and he refused. I told him i was going to call my bank and get it refunded and i will. All over $10. Horrible customer service. This man has no business...
