I Love Pho & Crawfish — Restaurant in Rowlett

HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Me and my husband had been going to this specific Pho location for years, we never had a problem with the owner, but just last Wednesday we went to get pho with our two kids. Everything was fairly normal until we went to pay, I handed him a $100 bill which he took hesitantly. He started talking amongst the other staff about it, since it was an older version of the bill I understood if it might seem fake but it was real and I assured them of that. But a woman, I’m assuming his wife, came blaring at me “this is fake! It’s not real! You’re going to have to pay with card! We’re not accepting this!” and continued to talk with the staff in their language. I assured them it was real and it was the only form of payment I had on me, but instead of coming up with a solution herself I had to ask if they had one of the markers to check fake bills she just shook her head and said no extremely rude. She finally went next door to get one and when she came back in she kept exclaiming that it was fake. When she checked it it obviously came back as real and she then just laughed and said “oh it’s just old” which is what I had been telling them the whole time. I understand that the bill was old and I probably would have thought the same, but the way she handled it was completely unacceptable. WORST CUSTOMER...

Pho here is OK but with Panda Pho and other options nearby I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The banh mi was so disappointing. They barely stuffed it with anything at all and don't think they added dressing. I had to add my own mayonnaise, hoisin, and sri racha from home. And the meat they do give you, half of it is grisly fatty pieces that you can't eat. Huge waste of money, try Healthy Banh Mi in Rockwall instead (or make your own which I usually do but didn't have cucumber, jalapeno, or daikon this weekend and really wanted a banh mi fix!)

Also I have to stop tipping on my takeout orders (because last time I ordered pho, half of the herbs and bean sprouts on the side were going bad and I couldn't eat them, and this time I didn't realize that my sandwich was going to be so disappointing before I left as it was obviously wrapped). So while I like to give a little something extra even on takeout, there is certainly nothing "above and beyond" in the service here either. It's always lukewarm, at best - I've come during the day or in the evenings, it doesn't really matter. Seems like based on other reviewers' experiences with the management here that being treated lukewarm is actually fortunate...at least I have never...

Food has always been good. TERRIBLE customer service.

Ordered egg rolls with my food. No where on their menu does it list they have egg rolls that are pork. Their menu has vegetarian listed next egg rolls so when I ordered I assumed the egg rolls were vegetarian because they never mentioned pork. When the egg rolls came out I learned they were pork. The female who initially took our order was very busy so I flagged the male owner and told him about the egg rolls being pork and that I do not eat pork, the owner yelled at me and said I had to tell them I wanted them vegetarian and stormed off. I guess it’s my job to do their job? No sir, if you have more than one option and do not have pork egg rolls listed anywhere on the menu, its the staff’s job to ask if I want pork or vegetarian. But to yell at me about it is completely unacceptable.

Got the rest of my food which was fine and vegetarian egg rolls eventually came out.
