EDITED REVIEW from 2 to 4 stars, PLEASE SEE NOTE BELOW
Don't bother using coupons here, they will rip you off. We have been here twice in the past and things went great (although last time the food wasn't as good as when they first opened). Tonight was terrible (not just the dry lamb). We came in because they advertised a buy one get one ENTREE 1/2 off coupon in the local coupon publication. My wife and I both ordered the $14 lamb platter and we also got a $5 chicken kids meal for my 2 year old. When it came time to pay I found that they put the discount on the kids meal... saving us a whopping $2.50. I questioned the waitress because it didn't seem like in any sane world that a kids meal is the same as an "ENTREE". She agreed and went back and talked to the owner who just sent her back saying that that's just the way they have it setup and so that's that... I paid, and the waitress was really apologetic. I told her its not her fault (and tipped her well anyways), but that this was pretty deceptive and that its not a good way to run a business. We will not be back. The owner doesn't seem to care about his customers so why should I care to give them my business?
EDITED: After posting this review the owner/GM reached out to me and he reviewed all the tickets from that night. After doing so he admitted that they had indeed made a mistake and was apologetic about it. They are sending a gift cert and we are willing to give them another chance. The previous times I have been there...
Read moreThe actual seating area in the restaurant is kind of small compared to some Greek restaurants I have been to. There is a bar area at the entrance, and then there are options for table of booth. We were waiting for some friends so we ordered something to drink and looked over the menu. The waitress was nice, however, it took a while to get our drinks. Overall, she didn't check on us very much, so that prolonged ordering our food. As an appetizer, we chose the fried zucchini. It was good. I ended up getting the Mahi Mahi. The fish was cooked very good and the flavors went together well. My husband got a wrap with a side roasted potatoes and Greek lima beans. He didn't care for the beans. The potatoes were good. I ended up ordering dessert to go (I should have checked to make sure it was the correct thing), when we got back and later sat down to eat it, I got the wrong dessert so that was upsetting. I find it took way too long to get the attention of the waitress. Another thing that irritated me was the fact that they added a "large party gratuity" on our bill. It was just 4 people! I don't mind tipping people but that was way more tip for the actual service we received. We went, we tried it, and probably...
Read moreGood intent, not the best execution. Brought my wife and our teenage daughters on a Tuesday. My wife and 17 year old had been, and enjoyed it, so I had high expectations.
We ordered a bunch of food to share.
Pros: Friendly servers Clean Great hummus Good spanakopita Table bottle of cold, filtered water was nice
Cons: bad fried zucchini - rubbery, greasy, overcooked, old frying oil - really missed the mark here Greek french fries (feta and sauce over fries) - the fries were overcooked / slightly burnt, and tasted like they were cooked in the same old frying oil
Neutral: Decent Falafel Decent coffee (brought our Coffee Mate, had to ask for cream... do people really like Coffee Mate?) Gyro meat, good flavor, but dry, like it was cut and sat for a while Room temp dolmas
Maybe because it was a slow Tuesday... trying to move out some of the inventory? I am being generous here with 3 stars.
The whole experience felt like a good restaurant has lost it's way... with so many places to choose from, 3 stars isn't competitive.
It wasn't horrible, but it sure wasn't great.
Not sure if I would recommend. May need to try again on a busier night and see if they bring a...
