Hawaiian Bros Island Grill — Restaurant in Rowlett

From the time Daniel (food manager) took my order, to the time we left we've had the privilege to meet a few of the awesome staff there. First of all the place was amazingly clean!!! After we ordered and got our food, as we began opening our plates of food, we realized that one of our orders which was to mix two different types of chicken, was not mixed. Luis (the store manager present at the time) was nearby and quickly assured us that he will bring out a portion of the meat they left out. Wow!! Grace (another worker) stopped by our table while we were eating to check if everything was alright. When we needed to get some drinks, Gibril, honored my request and came to the table and explained their drinks to all of us at the same time. When I walked over to the counter to purchase the drinks, after taking my order, Gibril explained the soft serve dessert they had, and offered me a sample to taste before ordering. I thought I was dining at a fast food place, but got a 5 star restaurant experience. In this day and age, we really accumulate negative feedback and everyone is to careful to be politically correct. But, 1 review at a time we hope we can be a voice to the public that "IT'S QUITE ALRIGHT TO TAKE NOTICE OF THE GOOD THINGS AS WELL." Honestly guys midway through the pregnancy of our third child, my wife stopped eating chicken and can't tolerate it much anymore. She ate really well from here and didn't have any issues with the taste. Thank you very much for a very enjoyable and unforgettable experience for our entire family. To the owners, thank you for bringing such a great dining experience to our neighborhood. It's no secret that many waiters and restaurant staff work their behind off every night but still send up with plenty of complaints. Please take time to recognize the entire staff at your restaurant. This was our very first visit. We stopped in for a quick lunch and were greeted by a friendly hostess named Deborah who walked us through the process. She was extremely helpful and made our first experience very pleasant. I tried the Huli Huli Chicken with rice and fresh pineapple. The chicken was well cooked and the taste was delicious! I was expecting Teriyaki Chicken similar to a Chinese restaurant, but this had a flavor all its own with equal parts savory and sweet. I would definitely get this again! I tried my husband's Molokai Chicken and Luau pork. The Luau was absolutely delicious boasting a smoky richness with a hint of sweet with a spicy kick! The most unexpected surprise of the visit was the fresh pineapple. I was expecting a sour, tasteless and tough pineapple as this is typical when dining out, but I was smacked in the tastebuds by a sweet, fresh and perfectly ripe serving of pineapple that made me smile from ear to ear. This delectable treat in the upland atmosphere transported me to Hawaii! We topped off our visit with a strawberry whip. Definitely worth the trip JUST for the whip! We will absolutely return with empty bellies and high expectations! Quick service 5 stars. I can only offer photos of an empty plate and cup...because I never dreamed I would rate a quick service on a first visit! Next time I will add some...

I placed an order through Uber Eats pickup at this location and was told that my order was already picked up. First, they said there was no order under my name, and then they said someone else picked it up to be delivered to me. The issue is that I would've gotten a notification that someone was on the way if I ordered for it to be delivered, and my order was very clearly shown to be a PICKUP order under my name. Despite this, the young lady proceeded to tell me Uber Eats is only for delivery (which is not true), lied about the other person having confirmation, and argued with me about an order that I paid for and did not receive. I've done this numerous times (actually almost every time I order here) and was being treated as a suspect when I literally showed my order verification! I would not be writing this review if they just admitted my food was accidentally given to the wrong person and made it right. However, instead, they gave it away, didn't want to admit to it and proceeded to blame me, and had an entire attitude fixing THEIR mistake. I am not one to write reviews, let alone negative ones, but where's the customer service in that?? I never received a delivered order, and when I eventually got my food from the team, quality was something...
