Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice TWO YEARS LATER? Shame on you, Salad and Go. To be clear I don't even go here anymore because of the crappy experience I had here last time but my husband frequents it. He rarely has issues but often notes that his lettuce in wraps is sometimes a little past its prime. Today, I had identically the same issue I had two years ago with huge, unappetizing tomatoes in my wrap. When will they learn this is a bad format for a wrap? They also missed the Steak on my husband's wrap (and yes, we paid extra for Steak), and some lettuce was rotten again. My husband still comes to this place because it's conveniently located, it offers a fresher and healthier alternative than the millionth fried chicken offering in Rowlett, but I'm sooo annoyed with their QA that I will never go here without him.
Ok the first time we came here for wraps (not salad), it was lunch time and the wraps were SO huge and filled that they actually lacked any flavor from not enough dressing. Half the lettuce did not look great either. Somehow, despite not enough dressing, they were still a huge mess and not the easy park playdate quick lunch I thought they'd be. This time I'm trying a breakfast wrap and I asked them to add "chopped" tomatoes. Maybe they don't have knives in there, but I obviously got these ridiculously large whole tomatoes. Tell me how that is practical in a wrap? They're not even practical in a salad most of the time, they should be cut in half at best for that format, but here in this wrap they have no place. I could have just chopped them myself and re-rolled the wrap when I got home. AND they charged extra for them. Another issue: they put warm eggs into a wrap with cold things like spinach, avocado, ridiculously large tomatoes, and feta cheese and what will you get? A cold breakfast wrap....not appealing.
It's cheap but not the freshest, they certainly don't know how to construct a wrap, so I guess you get what...
Read moreAs what most people are saying, when we first tried them they were good. Decent portions for the price, nice options and even a choice to build your own salad or wrap.
However, tonight is a different story.
First, our order was given away to someone else ahead of us and we had to pull around and wait longer. This honestly wasn’t as a big of a deal as the person ahead of us apparently agreed that it was my name for their order and confused the worker. Things happen.
We waited for a while, and when we finally got our food back it was wrong. It was supposed to be two wraps and a salad, but instead we got two salads and a wrap. This wouldn’t have been as a big of deal if we didn’t already have to wait 10+ minutes for our order again. Plus 4 card went through the drive through before our order was given to us.
We finally get home and settle down, and notice that they forgot one of the dressings. No forks. But the worst part was the quality of the food.
I kept telling my husband something was off tasting about my wrap. He tasted the meat, said it was fine. Then, I found brown pieces of lettuce and he started finding wilted lettuce and brown/black avocados in his salad bowl.
The picture below is a combination of how much we’ve found in both of our orders. It sucks because Avocados are always an extra charge like they are gold.
Two stars because their drinks are always good. I love their lemonades and $1.95 isn’t bad when other places are charging almost...
Read moreI usually try my best not to leave negative reviews but this experience was too unpleasant for me. I was very excited to try SaladnGo today since it was my first time and I have always been curious about them. Today I ordered a Autumn salad but since it was my first time I didn't understand how to customize. I also placed this order online. The salad came with grated cheese when I actually wanted sliced parmesan cheese as seen in the menu photo. When I told one of the employees about the salad I had to go through 3 people only for my request to be turned down. They had an attitude of not wanting to help me and wanted to charge me extra. They re-made my salad eventhough I didnt want them too for obvious reasons. When they handed me the re- made salad, it was of poor presentation and only had 2 slices of parmesan cheese. There was no empathy from the staff. They made this experience difficult for me when they could have provided the sliced cheese in seperate container but they'd rather re-make an entire salad, make it poorly and be frustrated that I wanted a refund. When I ordered the salad it was not busy at all. Noone was there. I guess they just didn't want to be there that day but they could have...
