I normaly go to the firewheel pkwy location but I was so tired of 30-45min wait times in the drive through and then deal with below average to just down right rude customer service. Today at 8:20pm 5/28 I decided to drive just a bit farther to go to this location and I will absolutely be coming back here every time from now on. The wait wasn't to bad 4 cars infront of me took about 10-15 min from ordering to driving away. The customer service was 120% I was acknowledged emidiatly they said hello and asked if I could wait a moment. I do not mind waiting at all if I'm at least asked otherwise I feel ignored and left wondering if anyone even knows if I'm here. The guy on the speaker was so friendly, polite and upbeat it put me in a great mood. When I got to the window I received my food quickly, I realized that I had forgotten to ask for ketchup for my fries. When I tapped on the window and asked he said he already added them to my bag. And yes he had! At the other location it's a 60% chance if I get BBQ sauce for my nuggets or ketchup for my fries even when asking during my order. So having it w.o asking was such a breath of fresh air. When I got home everything was correct all my requests had been followed (no tomato) thank you to the cooks I think that has only been carried through twice at the other location. And all the food was still hot the other location I'm lucky if it's still lukewarm. Wataburger locations comparison aside this has Def one of the best fast food experiences I've had in a long time. I work retail so I come from dealing with my share of horrible customers and I do my best to be understanding of being short handed and having bad days, it crazy how much I have put up with as a customer because I didn't want to be a Karen and never noticed until I was treated so well. Thank you everyone who was working...
Read moreI ordered my food to go and waited inside while it was being prepared. The restaurant was not busy so I stood back waiting and watching my order being prepared. I watched the associate wearing rubber gloves, after touching walls, counters, and money take my food (hash browns, biscuit and sausage) to my food with her hands and place them on top of my eggs. If you were not aware that rubber gloves are worse than using your hands because everything they touch is automatically transferred to your food. Food Service Regulations mandate that serving utensils should be used. I politely told the Mgr. What occurred and ask for a refund. In return he told her and she got nasty with me telling me that is how they do it and if I did not like it not to come back. In return I calmly exercised my first amendment right and told her to go f herself along with the b word. The associate gave me the double middle finger gestures. The Mgr. started trying to admonish me and not his staff member. So, I politely told him to go f himself and give me a refund. The sissy Mgr told me he was going to "show me something" and then called the Rowlett police. I calmly waited as three police cars arrived for a man peacefully exercising his first amendment right of free speech. What a waste of resources! The reporting officer tried to moleste my ID rights. In conclusion, the police issued me an unlawful warning that was inconclusive to the statue in regard to trespass laws.
In closing, I would not go to this location because of the lack of following sanity regulations. Also, the staff are very immature, rude and...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW: It has been years since I ate here because of the reasons shown below. Today, I was out on an errand without my wallet and wanted lunch. Someone gave me a WB gift card for the holidays, so I figured, "Let's see if the Whataburger nearest me has made any improvements in 5 years." They gave me someone else's order. Which, of course, I figured out at home.
Same situation! Different faces.
So while I see the Merch available has inproved, the service has not.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I know that the potential for quality food and service is available at many Whataburger locations. Sadly, this one is not one of those locations based on several visits I've made here. Quite frankly, I don't trust the staff to not do intentionally nasty things to the food. I've been hard-mugged by the kid at the drive-thru window as he stared me down like I owed him money or something. It was weird! This young person had ZERO customer relation skills, which should be something that any fit manager would see as obvious. I have had #5 with No Onions order come home and found loaded with onion. This happened on more than one occasion. I don't want anything free to endure bad dining experiences. I don't need an "I'm sorry...blah blah blah...". I am posting this review, as I have with every one Ive ever taken time to write, to honestly share my experience and opinion to consider where your dollars and time are spent as an average consumer. I would consider other alternatives to...
