I stopped in here with a large group to eat lunch on Sunday and we were all very pleased. The place was nice and clean looking and we did not have to wait more than a couple minutes to get a table. The staff that worked there were super friendly and they kept our drinks full and served our meals promptly. It is kind of off the beaten path so you might not be able to notice it from the road. You can expect to receive the same type of meal and service that you would get at a traditional Seafood style restaurant like this. The food portions are going to be very healthy and they will quickly refill your drinks and bring you more hush puppies. But if you're looking for some seafood and you are in the area I would recommend this place. I enjoyed it.

I wouldn’t give this place any stars if I could! This place is definitely not associated with the Mayflower chain in Durham and other places!!!! Very small portions for the prices. The buffet was bare, they said for 30 mins that they were putting fish out, but they never did. You have to order and pay before you are able to sit down and eat in. Very few things on the menu and no kids menu. There was a hard shell of some sort in my daughter’s French fries 🤬 Have to beg for refills on water!

They slice their scallops in half so they can double their profit on them. They actually give you thin scallop disc that look like a fried pickle slice. RIPOFF!!!! I've ate at other Mayflower restaurants and their scallops are normal. These people must think that residents in Roxboro are stupid.

I'm only only giving this location 3 🌟 because there was no option for 1/2 🌟. Because it's main menu consists of seafood is the reason it's even rated this high. Even though we called ahead, in enough time, for a pick-up order, we still had to wait. In addition the meal portions seemed to be a bit small and somehow not as tasty as I've ALWAYS enjoyed at every other location of this chain. I suppose that having to look at posters, located in plain sight on a door or wall directly behind the cashier , of management's favorite politician, intensified the negative impact of this overall experience. I'm a veteran and swore an oath to protect ALL AMERICANS' Freedom of Speech, even those I don't agree with or embrace, but this was offensive to me and I'm not easily offended. I'm more than sure that many others would be equally offended by these "Up in your face" posters. I know that the Mayflower I most often frequent, as chain but individually owned, has a policy of not serving some at their discretion. However I've only seen this happen once or twice and then over the course of many years. In those few occasions the people being refused service were those who were offensive, using abusive language or being totally unreasonable. I WILL NEVER go to this location again!!!!! Just as much as my usual Mayflower restaurant reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, I also reserve my right to not be served by those who force me to look upon posters trumpeting their political leanings!!! This, to me, can easily be seen as a way to discourage certain customers from patronizing this establishment. Even if this is not the intent, customerwise, I would dread having to work there! Avoid...

I ate at the May Flower in Roxboro, NC. I was extremely disappointed. I took my mom out that day because she was finally starting to feel better (she has COPD). The waitress made it as bad of an experience as possible. It was an older grumpy lady. My mom ordered a salad and was brought a bowl of only leaves no tomato, no cheese, no croutons exc. When the waitress came back to our table my mom asked if she could bring her a salad with tomatoes and cheese and other things, the lady told her no that was all they had. Well my mom replied "this is not a salad I'm sorry I don't want it can you take it off my ticket" the lady took the salad from my mom and on her way through the dinning area she loudly exclaimed to the other waitress "she said this isn't a salad, yes it is" and scoffed then continued back to the back of the restaurant. After that she was not at all polite to my poor mom, she would come to our table and refill my drink but never bothered to refill my mom's. My mom had to ask her to refill her drink and the waitress walked off and did not come back for about 10 minutes. My mom ate there again a second time about 2 weeks later with her boyfriend and they got the same waitress, when she came to the table she tried to suggestive sale the senior special to my moms boyfriend and then tried to suggestive sale the kids meal to my mom which was absolutely unacceptable if your customer flow is becoming less and less it's because of her. We will not be eating...

Went here for lunch today. Tried to go opening weekend but there was a 1.5 hour wait. Decided to try some other time. Let’s start with they’re portraying themselves as a seafood resturant. Menu is ridiculously large. As far as restaurants go, I’ve found they do a few things amazingly or too many things poorly. Ordered a dozen oysters to start. Requested 1/2 raw and 1/2 steamed. “I’ll have to ask if we can do that”. Waitress comes back and said, “He’ll do it, but he doesn’t want to. They come in a bag and he didn’t want to open it and break them up”. Hhhhmmm. Ok. We get the oysters. JUST the oysters. She asks “Do you need any sauces ?” To which I replied, well yes. We’d like crackers, hot sauce, cocktail, lemon. You know everything that usually comes with oysters. She does bring us some club(Club!?) crackers packs, Texas Pete in single packs, and some lemon. Husband got steak, I got crab cakes. Which I was told “They’re so good, he makes them with real crab meat !!” Well, I would hope so… Waitress was nice, portions were good, food was…filling. Pricing felt a little high to me. I know they just opened so I’ll give them a year or so to get it figured out and maybe go...
