Big Scoops Creamery — Restaurant in Roy

This experience was one that would make me not go back. My room mate did the ice cream run and when she arrived home (which is not even 2 miles away our shakes were like water. they were horrible. She said that they told her they usually quit making shakes at 9. When I had called it was 10:03 and I spoke to a gal that was rude and not helpful at all . I explained that we just came and purchased 3 shakes and she said yes I remember. I proceeded to tell her that they were like water there was no malt at all and she just replied with YEA OKAY AND. so I asked if they were closed and she said yes I said okay can I come tomorrow and get a refund. She responded with YEA I THINK SO. I said okay thank you who should I speak to and she was talking to someone. I asked if she could leave a note for when I come back in and she said YEA. so they I asked who was on schedule for tomorrow to speak to and she said she did not know they did not have a schedule. and so I proceeded to ask her name and she said YEA and click hung up on me.

I called back a few minutes later and they answered and I explained the situation again and she said tomorrow we have two guys in the am shift and I requested their names on shift tonight and she muffled the phone and was hesitant and told me alexis and Maddy. Poor customer service, dis respect and I attempted to call the store yesterday to get a manager and she said she will take my number for the owner to call me about a refund and still absolutely...

I stopped in sometime last fall to treat my granddaughter and myself. We were the only two people in the shop so we decided to stay and eat our ice cream cones there. The ice cream was amazing and the staff was pleasant and welcoming. When I wanted to surprise a family member with an ice cream cake for her birthday a few weeks ago, I called the store to see what they had. The employee I spoke with was extremely helpful. He repeated the descriptions of each ice cream cake more than once and was so patient with me. After finally choosing one (they all sounded delicious!) We visited Big Scoops on 5/6 at 8:30 PM for our very first time and we were very disappointed. We just moved to Roy and we were excited to try a local creamery but we did not have a good experience. We waited in line for over 30 minutes because they were quite busy and only had two employees working. While we were waiting in line we noticed one of the employees was wearing extremely short shorts and a backless shirt. And the other one removed his hat several times, scratched his head, and then without washing his hands continued to scoop ice cream and handling cups.
