Worst food and service in 10 years of going. My experience: myself and 5 kids decide to dine into the restaurant. We were the only ones in the restaurant. It started with the waitress passing out wrong sodas to the kids. Then came back with the wrong sodas that were requested. 3rd time it was correct. I had to ask for my drink again 5 min later. The ice tea tasted weird and requested a soda instead. She brought me out 2 wrong sodas before finally getting it right on the 3rd time. We ordered an appetizer and soups which typically come first in all my experiences. After waiting there for almost 30 minutes the appetizer and egg rolls for the meal comes out. Another 10 minutes go by and finally the soup comes out. This is ridiculous at this point and I’m about to walk out, kids are very hungry. At this point I’m 45 min in and finally the kids meals come out. Apparently they weren’t even close on my meal and I started to box up the kids food to leave. I asked for the check and Yes she charged full price for coming to sit and wait an hour, just so I could box the kids meals up! As I’m walking out the door they owner lady comes out and it’s the wrong food! Their menus are not all alike, some items have breaded Star next to it and some don’t, I pointed this out to the waitress at the time of order and asked to please make sure the shrimp were not breaded and if they were then I’ll take a different choice which was also labeled with no star meaning non-breaded. PS, we got home and kids started eating their S&S chicken and you can’t even cut it with a fork. The chicken was hard and can’t even chew it. The only good meal that was edible was the orange chicken. We have been eating at this restaurant since we moved to Hooper in 2007. I’m sorry to say this will be the last time I ever order from this place, terrible ownership, food and service. Onto the next...
Read moreIf I could give this place a negative star rating I would. We sat down at 6:40 PM and didn't get our food until 7:45 PM. The food was good up until I found a piece of metal from a dish scrubber in our lo mein noodles. I'm glad I caught it; it would have been very bad if I was to have started to eat it or even swallow it. When I brought it to our waitress's attention, she took it back to the cook. We could overhear the cook explaining that it was piece from the scrub from the dishwasher. I couldn't hear anything else. When the waitress brought it back she relayed what the cook/manager told her: "It is a piece used to clean the dishes and is safe. She said to just remove it and continue eating." Nope. We all had lost our appetites and refused. The waitress said the best that she can do for us was a 10% discount. At this point (having had waited so long for our food and had it be inedible) we opted for this option and quickly left. We will never go there again. Think about it; would you eat something that had a piece of something from when it was being washed? If whatever they used was properly washed, even if it had this piece of metal on it, it would have been rinsed off after it was washed. To have found this piece in my food tells me that they do not properly clean their equipment and all food prepared here is unsanitary. I was just floored that the cook and management of this place didn't have the common sense and correct the problem. Don't gamble with this place; they don't care about...
Read moreWe have ordered from them multiple times and almost every time they have gotten the order wrong. We will not order from them again due to the poor customer service received. We ordered three entrees which fed 8 people and were given rice that fed 2. When I called to ask why we didn’t receive our full order of rice, the woman argued that we received 2 orders of rice (which the size of the box came nowhere to double the amount as she stated). We also were shorted the egg rolls that we ordered (and verified over the phone). We had guests from out of town and actually had to cook extra rice in order for everyone to have an adequate amount in ratio to the entrees. It would seem that given the high dollar amount of the order, and that we have been repeat customers, they would have given the proper amount of rice when requested. In an effort to save a few cents they lost hundreds of dollars as we will never go there again. Also, one of the entrees that we ordered (beef and broccoli) came with almost no beef. It seems like they are trying to cut corners in service and food quality/quantity to improve their profit margin, and do not care about the treatment that they are giving loyal customers. On a positive note, their delivery people are very nice and friendly and their orange chicken is decent. I would definitely recommend going elsewhere, as there are plenty of comparable Chinese restaraunts locally taste-wise, that will provide their customers the level of professionalism and respect that Naturally Chinese...
