First time here. Had no clue this plaza had this Thai restaurant. A poster inside shows 20th anniversary. Came for here for a birthday lunch. Standing room only. They must be doing something people love. Would love to try their house menu and get a feel of the restaurants true face one day outside of lunch. Tasty food service with a smile and very friendly staff.
01/12/24 So a couple days later….I came back for dinner to try the true face of the restaurant ordering from the regular menu outside of their lunch specials. Surprised to see as I was pulling up that again it was standing room only. I said ok, this place has something going right and people are willing to wait. We waited only about twenty minutes as the friendly co owner welcomed us in Thai Tea was cozy and started things for me
Penang Duck. Wow. Because of this dish. This restaurant last night became my favorite Thai restaurant I don’t remember the last time I had duck so delicious.
Tom Kha Seafood. Soup was hearty and so yummy. This place gets it.
Dancing Eel hit the spot for me. Slurpy mmmmm
I dined here twice in a week and it’s looking like it may be three, if I know myself. I know on weekend they’re only open for dinner so I may be the first in line. In this span of time, this became my favorite Thai restaurant. A restaurant I did not even know existed in this location. To me that’s a wonderful way to...
Read moreAh Mother's day! I'm not usually a big fan of going out for Mother's Day but the special people in my life talked me into it. What a nice evening. We all decided to try something outside our comfort zone. One had pork balls & noodles soup, I think it was. Hard for me to remember because I was laughing at the name!😂 But the spouse thought it was outstanding. Another dish tried was spicey pork & I don't remember the name of that one either but the diner that ordered was very pleased with his decision. I had the crispy duck panang (I think) oh boy it was delicious. I've been a duck fan since having such excellent Chinese food in San Francisco's China Town. Peppermint's duck was every bit as good. Not only that we all had so much we could not eat, that we all had enough for 2 more dinners at home. The staff topped our evening off with great little cupcakes that said "Mom" on them & they were kind enough to let us take them home since we all almost rolled out of there. Also from previous experience I totally recommend Peppermint Thai's , Pad Thai (chicken) the perfect blend of everything for a perfect Pad Thai. We had a waitress who served us with smiles (even under the mask) & was very gracious with her suggestions for a fabulous meal. In general, a GREAT restaurant & before I forget, when you go...try their Ginger dressing...truly amazing. Happy Mother's...
Read moreThe rolls are very small, the taste of the dishes are not better than many other places for the money! Nothing spectacular about the food; Which is surprising because they seem to have a big customer base for the small sized restaurant. The wonton soups were aweful. The dumplin that wraps the chicken on them tasted so weird and off. We requested new ones... With deliberation and much argument as to why, we got new ones. But that incident did not affect the rating of this review in contrast to service. The restaurant has a musty air feel/smell to it. Possible A/C filtration is ineffective, the entire time from entering my throat was itching. I came out I felt fine, I went back in I felt the same again. So it was definitely inside. I give one star rating on service authenticity: The waiters aren't very friendly at all, all tend to be aggressive, struggling with anger management, (especially the older gentleman) and they are even more offensive if tips aren't in the 30 dollar plus range. It's a shame, I don't need that type of stress n discomfort when I'm out to have a good time...
