Royal Palm Ice Cream — Restaurant in Royal Palm Beach

Apparently new owners. This older man, bad attitude. Having read some of the other reviews I could see where his son gets it from. He put the waffle bowls, four of them that I purchased, into an old used Walmart bag because he didn't have one big enough. Tells me no one orders that many and that he's doing me a favor. Really? Every time I would come in with the old owners I would get the same thing and never complained and never a problem. They always put it in the same bags with the bowls and the rubber bands, well done. But this man seems to have a problem. Also, he's keeping the ice cream freezers at a higher temperature because he can't stand there and scoop it. So I came home with a pint of melted ice cream that I have to keep in the freezer before I could even serve it. What a joke. He's going to run it into the ground with his poor business practices. Arguing with me over a little cup of cherries on the side so I can make my own Sundaes. So I didn't buy it because he wanted to charge me a dollar per cherry. I used to pay a dollar for the whole little container. He expected me to pay $6 for six cherries. he says they must have made a mistake. I said they didn't make a mistake every time I've been coming in for years. I tell you this new family that owns it is in the wrong business. They should be selling tires somewhere. I won't be returning. If he's putting my food into an old dirty bag imagine what's going on behind the scenes. He came out of the back with four waffle bowls very quickly but when he had to replace one that fell on the counter he took it out of a container that was out in front and all of a sudden just for looks he put a glove on to retrieve it from the container because people were watching. Dirty business practices. Not a fan anymore. I'll have to find a new place. Good luck new owner, you're going to need...

I use to come here all the time! Almost every other week but my last couple experiences never again. The girl who was NEW was friendly! However, the girls who were there who have been there had a distasteful attitude. They also will tell you that they have non-dairy options as you see per comment. When I spoke to the person working the girl told me the option was dairy free even though it wasn’t. And this is an ice cream flavor in the non-dairy case. This time the person explained they don’t know what’s in the ice cream. While checking out the two girls were gossiping. When I displayed the situation to the manger the “owner” was very distasteful. He said “the kids aren’t going to know what’s in the in the ice cream that’s your job to look at the case and see what it says” I explained to I understand however when I wanted to confirm with her if it was don’t give free or did have a milk substitute she said it was dairy free which ultimately resulted in illness. Also when I expressed the concern about the customer service not yelling at him calling him sir and not yelling he said no I’m not going back and forth with you if you don’t like my business don’t come back and however he wanted to make it clear that two of the girls were new” (however I had no problem with the two girls as they were sweet as ever along with the other taller girl working it was two females who have been there and gave me the previous issue… but I was unable to explain becuase I continuously was cut off with him yelling). Im sorry, you don’t treat people like that and I have faithful loyal customer at that was always my first option...

Very disappointed with Royal Palm Ice Cream today! We went in for ice cream tonight like we have been for years. We walked in about 35-40 minutes before closing went to order milk shakes and we were told the machines are cleaned for the night we had to order something else. Went to order soft serve ice cream for sundaes and again , Sorry, it’s already shut down for the night. You will have to order something else. I asked why is everything thing shut down and cleaned more then a half hour before closing on a Saturday night and I was told because we like to get a jumpstart on closing by one girl and the other girl stated it’s because we are all high school kids and need to get home early because we have things to do. I stated it was not very good business to be shutting everything down that early before closing and was the owner aware they are doing this? They told me yes the owner was standing right here. I know who the owners are and that was not one of them. Come to find out the business was sold about a month ago. I spoke to the owner about the situation although he stood there and observed the situation and didn’t explain a thing until I said I was going to reach out to the owner and one of the employees said he was standing right there.
