Pho 16 Royal Palm — Restaurant in Royal Palm Beach

I love that this restaurant has everything! From Vietnamese sandwiches( banh mi) and pho (noodle soup), to bubble tea! I have tried it all and they are high quality ingredients. First the bubble tea is not too sweet and flavorful. The boba is cooked to a perfect softness. My favorite drink is the taro milk tea. It has an amazing smell and isn't like any other I've tried. The banh mi is also really good. I am usually picky with my mayo but they got the authentic stuff. It's not too fatty but flavorful and that authentic yellow color. The meat is also really flavorful. The best thing about phomee is that they use no MSG. I am allergic to MSG so this is one of the very few Vietnamese restaurants I can eat at. That is why I love the pho here. The broth is so rich and full of natural flavor and the meat quality is superb. As far as service, it is quick service. You order at the counter, and they have takeout and to go option as well. Your food comes out really fast and they seem efficient. Pricing is reasonable for the quality that you're getting. I also like that all their containers are reusable, especially for when I order takeout. Overall, I give phomee a 5 star because there honestly isn't anything I can critique. This has been my go-to pho place for the last two years. Their egg rolls are amazing, i love their steak pho, and constantly crave their lychee green tea. However, this most recent time we ordered their vegan pho. Two bites in, we notice there are a bunch of little black bugs that are beginning to float up. Again, we love this place and didn’t want to make this a big deal and potentially harm a small business. So we wait for the restaurant to clear and bring it up to the front. The chef comes out seeming annoyed that we wanted to replace it with a different dish. We ordered the grilled pork platter as a replacement. The side options are steamed veggies or some cucumber. No joke, after we say we think the bugs are from the broccoli, they send out the pork platter with a mound of steamed broccoli. Yes, there were bugs on it again. We told the front again as we left to pay (nothing comped) and the response was “ok.” Had this situation been handled differently we would still come back because I know things happen. But I can no longer in good conscience go to a place that is aware of a bug problem and continues to serve the same infested vegetables with no effort to...

As a first-time pho eater, I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. I left the restaurant full, happy, and already planning my next visit. I’m officially hooked. I ordered the chicken pho, and it was an absolute delight from the first spoonful to the last. The broth was incredibly well-seasoned rich, flavorful, and comforting in the way only a truly good soup can be. The chicken was tender, and all the fresh herbs, noodles, and accompaniments came together perfectly. You could tell the pot had been simmering with care and love.
