A Sweet Stop at Handelās Ice Cream in Royersford
āāāāā
Handelās Ice Cream in Royersford continues to be a standout destination for premium ice cream lovers. During my recent visit, I sampled two of their signature flavors that absolutely hit the mark.
The butter pecan was exceptional - rich, creamy, and loaded with perfectly toasted pecan pieces that added just the right amount of crunch and nutty flavor. You could tell they donāt skimp on quality ingredients, as each bite delivered that authentic buttery taste that makes this classic flavor so beloved.
The coffee chocolate chip was equally impressive, striking an ideal balance between bold coffee flavor and sweet chocolate. The coffee taste was robust without being overpowering, and the chocolate chips were generously distributed throughout. Itās the kind of flavor that coffee enthusiasts will appreciate for its authenticity.
What I consistently love about Handelās is their commitment to making fresh ice cream daily. You can taste the difference in both the texture and flavor intensity. The staff was friendly and patient, allowing me to sample before deciding - always appreciated when there are so many tempting options.
The Royersford location maintains the high standards Handelās is known for, with a clean, welcoming atmosphere that makes it perfect for families or anyone looking to treat themselves. With flavors this good, Iām already planning my next visit to try more of their rotating seasonal offerings.
Highly recommended for anyone in the area looking for premium ice cream that goes beyond the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen this building was a different ice cream shoppe prior to being a Handel's, there was no outside order window. I assumed this meant that I had to order outside (especially during this pandemic). I just waited in line for 20 minutes in "feels like 104" degree weather with ungodly humidity while I watched people pull up, walk right inside (which I didn't even know was an option) and walk out with their ice cream before I even made it to the front of the outside line.
Then I placed my order and wasn't informed until being handed my change that the Hurricane I'd ordered can only be made with vanilla ice cream (none of their numerous "handmade" flavors). I assume that means the vanilla is just soft serve out of a machine, so why does throwing a topping in and blending it warrant a $5 price tag?
Protip: When it's this hot and humid out, either prioritize those willing to wait in the heat, or put a sign up asking customers to order inside.
Maybe it's growing pains since the place is so new. I'm sorry I have to be your first review, but the woman in front of me practically threw a temper tantrum, and I watched two other people walk out of line and back to their cars when they saw that the people walking inside were being helped more quickly. I'm the only loser with enough free time to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really was upset with my experience on August 14th with how the workers handled a customer, it broke my heart. A customer who was unfortunately homeless, bought a milkshake and sat inside on the bench. The lady did not disturb anyone and was minding her own business. The workers were making smart remarks, laughing at her due to the smell (poor hygiene of the lady), that it even made me uncomfortable because that is not how you treat someone. That poor lady has enough going on and seemed embarrassed. The one younger male worker asked the lady to go outside to sit ādue to a big party coming in soon and going to use the benchā. The lady proceeded to leave and the worker wipe the bench down with cleaning supplies, talking rudely to the other employees about the homeless lady. As a business owner myself, this could have been handled 10x better. Could have offered the milkshake for free and make up an excuse for her to sit outside. But this is exactly what is wrong with the world today. As a customer , seeing the workers of this ice cream shop ālabelingā and discrimination of this lady, I will...
