This was the WORST At&t retailer Iāve ever been to. To start off me and my girlfriend came into purchased brand new iPhones . We were approached by a gentleman who was very polite and after conversing with him found out he was new . He helped us buy new phones and purchase them, we paid the tax on the phones and the accessories we bought and left. So far so good right? Wrong. The next day I receive a call from the same gentleman letting me know that thereās going to be an additional $40 charge that I have to pay because I never paid taxes on the second phone. They blamed it on a āservice glitchā and told me the 40$ must be paid or I am liable to have to pay for the full phone. Okay how is a problem on your end the customers issue? I was willing to and paid for all the items I was told to at the point of sale and left and went on my way. That is not the customers mistake. Even so I try to be a good guy and agree, but let him know my schedule is very busy and I canāt come in right away. He tells me I can pay over the phone and I let him know Iām not comfortable with that. I get a call everyday harassing me about coming in and paying for a few days before I get a call from the manager threatening to call the cops on me if I donāt pay the taxes in 24 hours. Great customer service and very professional. After arguing with the guy about it I still decide to go in and pay the 40$ to end the situation.
The customer service in this place is horrible. The fact that the companies employees made a mistake, told us the price, and allowed us to leave thinking everything was settled to find out I must pay for their mistake is absurd. The entire time there was no apology or any accountability for the fact that the COMPANY made a mistake... that is sad. And to then threaten a customer for a mistake you made? That is the icing on the cake. Will never be returning to this terrible store and will never recommend anyone to a business that points the finger at the customer when...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLawrence (Sales Rep) and David (Manager) lied to my pregnant wife, and later to me, in order to complete a sale.
On 8/2/25, my wife went to the Royersford store to trade-in/upgrade a Galaxy S8. She was told by Lawrence that she could get an $800 credit toward a new phone (Galaxy S25) when she traded in her S8. Even better, she could take the S8 home to do a SmartSwitch over to the S25. She got a ~$400 worth of credit in-store, and was told that when she brought the S8 back in, she'd receive the other $400 worth of credit ($800 total), making the new phone essentially free.
I even called the store that same evening and confirmed with David what Lawrence had just told my pregnant wife. "Bring back the S8 when you're done with the switch, and you'll get the other $400 in credit." Perfect!
Well, today (8/4/25), TWO DAYS LATER, she went back to the store to drop off her S8. This time, Lawrence and David told her she would NOT get the additional credit. That they had never told her that in the first place, and they best they could do was take back the S25, though we still had to pay a $50 restocking fee.
(Except I know they're lying, because when I called 8/2 and spoke to David, he told me the same thing they initially told my wife. Bring the phone back and get the other $400.)
So, in summary Lawrence and David lied to my pregnant wife and invented a promotion that apparently didn't exist, in order to complete a sale.
I called AT&T corporate to submit a complaint, but it still feels pretty awful to have been taken advantage of.
FOLLOW UP: The Regional Manager, Mark, called me and left me a voicemail apologizing and offering to "make it right." I called him back and he ghosted me. Just incredible customer service from...

Upgrading to 3 stars because the store owner did infact call me and apologize for the frustration. He was very polite and professional. He offered me a $20 credit on my bill, equal to the cost of order another 2 screen protectors. Canāt upgrade to 5 stars however because I still spent close to $100 on these screen protectors, and they crack exceptionally easy, and Iāll still need to pay for new ones each time to replace them. The ālifetime replacementā should probably be rephrased. Still find it deceptive since you do in fact have to pay to get them replaced.
SCREEN PROTECTOR SCAM.
Donāt bother buying them. The sales reps twist your arm to purchase them, and sell you on the lifetime replacement guarantee. However what they donāt tell you is that they only replace them one time in store. And after that you have to go online and order a replacement, which comes with a $10 shipping fee for each one. These things break and crack like crazy. My wife and I had our first one for about 2 weeks before they needed replaced. Now theyāre cracked again, and I have to pay $10 for each one now every time.
Totally deceitful, would absolutely never buy one again (theyāre useless) and would HIGHLY recommend no one ever purchases one of these flimsy...
