Update 6-22-23: Tracy who is the owner reached out to me after my review and made things right. She really cares about her customers I really appreciate her following up with my initial review and making things right. Much appreciated. You definitely don't get that level of service at most places. Original review:6-21-2023 I've only eaten at Bee Bops twice. The first time I had an omelette which was delicious, but the second time I ordered a hamburger and let's just say it looked good, but it tasted like nothing. Either the Patty was not beef or the meat was old and unseasoned. The whole burger patty was pure Gray. Not to mention that a hamburger and Coke set me back just under $20. On their menu you get the impression that you can add whatever ingredients to the hamburger you want at a flat rate of $12.75, but that is not the case. You are charged for additional toppings of value that is added like bacon for example. The menu does not make that clear and if I would have known that before placing the order I would have ordered something different. This restaurant is a little on the overpriced side for many of their items. I understand trying to make a buck, but giving customers good value at the same time with great food is also a must. If I were to eat here again I would never order the hamburger. I've also spoken to friends who have also said the hamburger is off and does not taste good. Which I wish I would have asked them beforehand. As for the atmosphere it is cute and different and their deserts look delicious, but again are on the expensive side. I can't remember the price exactly so I won't comment on the pricing on the desserts, but whenever she told me the price I was kind of taken back. I hope this review helped anyone interested in ordering their hamburger. I recommend the Baconator way before...
Read moreMy husband and I really wanted to like this restaurant and have a new favorite place, but it unfortunately didn’t satisfy enough to be added to our list. First I want to say the customer service was excellent, absolutely no complaint there. With that said, the food wasn’t above average. We ordered when the lasagna was a lunch special because it’s my favorite dish, and while it had almost all (no sausage added?) of the basics to call it a lasagna, it was missing seasonings. I couldn’t taste oregano, no hints of fennel seeds, no basil nothing to give it an extra quality... over the phone, we were told it comes with a salad but I’ve never seen a salad serving so small in my life! For $18 for one small portion of lasagna and a small side salad, I’d have at least expected a decent salad. The pizza my husband ordered was 3 toppings for $14. Each small slice on this personal sized pizza had one large pepperoni, a small sprinkling of sausage, and one half a slither of onion. Having a wood fired pizza was really nice, but again, this wasn’t $14 worth. I try my hardest to support local businesses, but the prices just aren’t reasonable at all when considering the portion sizes. With that being said, I wish nothing but the best of luck (and seasonings added to their list) to...
Read moreThe place to go we were told as we headed out of Canon toward Royston for something sweet which in southern terms is “paystrees” for a crowd gathered at The Bowers House. It was as if Grandma herself were this open armed and inviting place, a staff as sweet as the mead at Southern Origin Meadery and every bit as helpful. One lady tempted us with her “breakfast” sandwich, a monster involving a fried egg, bacon, brisket she smoked herself all on a homemade biscuit with cheese oh my dripping ladies and gentlemen onto the creation it held and that lady just happened to be the owner herself whose name I shamefully neglected to apprehend. We bought a dozen huge and finally crafted donuts of every imaginable construction they had on top of which we added a chocolate eclair, a bacon maple eclair and two Apple fritters to boot. You could not, ladies and gentlemen, asked for a more wonderful place to find yourself standing In especially on a rainy and thunder filled morning. We will be back without a...
