I chose Acapulco because I miss my Salvadoran pupusas in my hometown. Acapulco's pupusas use pinto beans and authentic Mexican flavors. The beans were tasty and fresh, though not as creamy as I like. The curtido was the best I've ever had! And, the masa harina was fried to perfection - crispy outside and moist inside. Service was excellent. I noticed others ordering asada, and the asada looks amazing, and so I'll try that when I return. They have 40oz bottles of Modelo (like sharing a bottle of wine!) and miniature bottles of Modelo and I found that a nice touch. In addition to loving taqueria cuisine, I love trains. Get both with Acapulco, which is a stone's throw from the railroad track so I get to eat while hearing a nostalgic, roaring freight train.

Ok. I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about. In town for work and myself and 2 co-workers have eaten here twice. Both times it was packed and food did not dissapoint. I used their bathroom on both occasions so it exists and is clean. In addition, talked to waitress at another restaurant and the front desk at the hotel and they recommended it. The food is top notch, talking homemade corn tortillas and burritos so big you'll need to call in backup to finish it off. If you drive through Rupert, you need to stop by for a bite. This is hands down the best Mexican food I've had in Idaho

First of all, customer service is AMAZING! Second, the food is simply the best in Rupert! Whatever you do, don’t leave without ordering a taco de alambre and pupusas!

These guys were very nice. I just have one recommendation. I had the carne asada wet burrito. It was ok. I’ve never had a burrito with lettuce inside….at any authentic Mexican restaurant. I took all the lettuce out. It also had a lot of rice and hardly any meat. Most carne asada burritos I’ve had are mostly meat. It makes me think the rice and lettuce are meant to fill up the burrito. I am telling you this so you can fix it. I noticed someone else said something about the lettuce, as well. Good owners listen to their customers. I had high hopes because of your reviews and was let down. I...
