Sofie's Chatterbox — Restaurant in Rupert

My previous visit I gave them five stars. Today I'm only going to give them two maybe two and a half if there was a half a star. The sign on the door said that they closed on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. I looked at my watch it's okay it's only 12:30.. We go in and sit down the waitress comes up to us and informed us that they are closing at 1:00 because of lack of help. In the hour that we were there , there were eight people that she turned those people away. The bathrooms were filthy stunk, there was no toilet paper ,the flooring is falling apart. It just not a very clean place but the food was decent I will hand that to them and until changes are made I will not be back.. Oh one other thing, 2 very young waitresses, high school girsl I think. Anyway if they were my employees I would have sent them home and made then change their pants ( and the yoga pants not sure what they are called now) We could see the outline of everything they had. The girl in the the faded leopard tights had them so tight it looks like she was poured into them. The cooks all they were doing was swearing and complained about how bad they needled to smoke and in their haste, they forgot to make a lady a medium rare hamburger.Don't bring kids on weekends even my husband was...

This restaurant is pretty good depending on what you get. They have good waffle fries and fry sauce so that is a plus. The issue I have had was with the quality of the main dish meats I have ordered. I have ate hear twice. The first time I ordered a hamburger and it was a bit overcooked and just alright I would say. The second time I ordered a chicken sandwich. The sandwich was on a simple store bought bun (like a cheap Walmart or generic brand bun) and I was served a frozen chicken burger that was fried up. It also came with bacon and cheese and was good, but I guess I was expecting something a bit fancier. The upside was that the price was pretty good and not too steap. In general my oppinion of this place is that it is a good place to eat, but don’t expect super high quality ingredients. They do have good cookies. Would I be at here again? Yes and if I find something on the menu that amazes me I will change my rating, but for now I would just rate this place 3* for average food and service based...

Been wanting to try this place for quite a long time. Showed up about 55 minutes before closing. Two of us ordered fish and chips, three ordered burgers and one had pancakes. When they delivered our order they said they only had enough tartar sauce for one order of fish and chips. Wish they would have told that BEFORE they cooked our order. I would have gotten something else. Since I wasn't going to take the tartar sauce from my company. I ate my dry. Yuck!! Yuck!! Yuck!! I could only choke down one and took the other home. By the time I ate half of one out of two fish (10 minutes, tops) they were throwing to go containers at us and we still had 15 minutes before they closed. I heard one girls say " that if we didn't hurry up they we're going to throw us out wether we we're done with our food or not". Everyone said their food was good. Gave two stars for that. Might try again but will wait for new crew member...
