Worst CPT D's I've ever been to. Service was slow, but they looked understaffed, so I was very patient. There was a truck in front of me and by the time I got to the window, 5 cars behind me. 20 minutes for the truck in front of me, to get his food. I pulled up and the girl asked me what I ordered. I told her, again. She closed the window, 10 minutes later opened the window, asked me again, what I ordered. I told her once more, she closed the window. A few minutes later someone handed her a bag of food, she looked inside and then opened the window and half repeated, what I told her my order was before. I corrected her with what I ordered. She closed the window again and was talking to someone I couldn't see. I lady, that looked like a manager came over, talked to her, looked into the bag and then went to the back in the cooking area. About. 10 minutes later, the girl in the front was handed a bag. she looked in it, opened the boxes of food, then about 5 minutes later, she opened the window, asked me again, what I ordered, then she told me the price and I paid. After we got back to the hotel, the food was not a 100 percent right and just sloppily put into the containers.. some items were missing, it didn't taste or look like the normal CPT D's fish, but wasn't awful., Although I was afraid of getting food poisoning, we ate and were ok. I should have left, but I felt sorry for them and just figured, they were understaffed. Even so, it should not have taken 40 minutes or so to get an order ready. I think. Understaffed and the quality of people that was working, was very poor. This place should be shutdown, until the owners can correct a major issue at this...
Read moreWhen it was time to pay we had an issue. My daddy, who is in his 70's, started counting out the money. He usually lays his bills on the counter until he has enough and then picks them up and hands them to the cashier, this way if he didn't have enough in smaller bills he could take out a larger bill for the whole meal. I have seen him do this all the time. Well apparently the cashier had a problem with that. Rudely told him he better pick that up and put that in her hand, he wasn't even done taking the cash out of his wallet. Yes my dad is white and yes the cashier is black. They weren't wearing name badges so I have no idea what their names are. She had short slicked back hair into a small pony tail wearing a dark Sherpa Jacket. She was also rude to the other white customers in the other line. They weren't even being checked out by her and she inserted herself into their conversation and was being rude to them. The nice cashier with the long braids kept apologizing. The treatment was uncalled for. I hope a manager sees this and reviews video. I will be leaving review after review about this attitude. My daddy is one of the nicest people anyone will ever meet. So now Captain D's associates can be rude and act racist to the white customers now and it's okay?. I could see if people were being rude to her and she got rude back but this was clearly not the case and should be addressed. I'll be telling everyone I know far and wide about the negative experience here. Why would someone go out of their way to be...
Read moreWe really love their batter dipped fish the best, especially with the malt vinegar. (Similar to LJ Silvers, but better.) Had the deluxe seafood platter & I liked the butterfly shrimp but they were a bit small & the stuffed crab shells were just ok. Chicken strips were sadly small also (about the size of 2-3 nuggets, mostly breading).
So far we enjoy: the loaded baked potato, steamed corn on the cob, green beans w/ham, fries, hush puppies (not too much onion & a little sweet), mac & cheese (could be sharper, it's creamy), jalapeno poppers (wish they were bigger), steamed broccoli, mozzarella sticks, & funnel cake stix.
Giant fish sandwich has 2 fish planks on it = good deal. We usually get the 3 piece fish combos (w/2 sides). Most meals are fairly priced for the food included.
We haven't tried : coleslaw, fried okra, grilled shrimp skewers, blackened tilapia, salmon, lemon pepper white fish, country style fish (cornmeal breading), or southern style white fish.
Service is fairly fast for what they are cooking & is usually friendly in the drive-thru. Try the malt vinegar, honey mustard, &...
