For it being the only local game store that's hosting Friday night magic in an area that's this small. This store is competing with much larger stores across the country in terms of product availability, ease of play, and overall space in the store. They have a large cooler with a great collection of sodas and other drinks for gamers to drink while playing. They have a phenomenal board game and miniature section and the crown Jewel I would say would definitely be their play space area for players. Every table had a great mat on it. The store was clean and well kept. No odors or anything that plagued some small town local game shops. Overall, I would give this the highest rating I could and say that if you're a magic or pokémon player. This is a must-stop and the Ruston Minden area. Mason. Alvar and Hurrick's beauty isn't in what it is so much as what it strives to be, a business less focused on solely making money but on building a community of gamers. Starting with a wall of novel games that are free to play and open tables to play them, they also offer drinks and snacks but EVEN allow you to bring your own. Products include role playing games, board games, miniature figure games, and all manner of card games. Additionally they have a nice selection of electronics for the hobbyist and roboticists. Lastly, they have a nice focus around health and family!

This is a good tabletop/card shop in the small town of Ruston. They have a good selection of items and a great environment. However, there seems to be an issue of not respecting the Warhammer community. There has been times were they have told people they have to leave, while in the middle of games, because they need to accommodate space for other players for other games. This is absolutely terrible and needs to be fixed quickly before any other issues occur.
