Huddle House — Restaurant in Ruston

Let me start by saying the staff is always amazing, caring, patient, and work so dang hard. Seriously, I've watched them handle a full house with only 2 people and they did it with a smile. We love our ruston Huddle house crew. The atmosphere feels like home, at least to me...warm and inviting. Thank GOD they fixed the AC 😆 The cooks are so kind and they def can cook. If I ever had an issue (while they were busy) they always took care of it promptly. But that rarely happens. I'd like to mention of few of my fav crew members Misty, Ebony, Zyon, Katie, and Liz...for every time I've come in stressed and depressed and yall put a smile on my face, showed love and understanding. Or for the times I came in anxious and overwhelmed with my kids, and yall showed love and kindness, and for the times you shared with us our goodbyes and see you later because my husband works away...THANK YOU!!!! This morning I entered the location on the service road and stood at the door waiting for someone to clean the only vacant table which was stacked with dirty plates and cups. I approached the young lady at the register and asked if someone could clean the table so my wife and I could be seated. She said I will be with you in a minute. 10 minutes later, my wife and I sat at the bar still waiting for the table to be cleaned. A group left, so now there is 2 tables free. The young lady at the register of course ran over collected the tip from that table and started to clean it. At about 70% cleaned she came back to the counter and started washing dishes leaving the table still un-cleaned. After sitting another 5 or 10 minutes, I asked for the manager, and informed her that I had been waiting for a table to be cleaned for nearly 30 minutes, and that I would like to be sated at a table. Incompetence. That's what comes to mind. I was craving a waffle. I had had a horrible visit at Waffle House earlier in the day so my friend insisted that I try Huddle House. I wish there was an IHOP close by. The lady who took my order was extremely pleasant which prompted my to tip her before getting my meal- rookie move. I waited 40 for a waffle, eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns and a biscuit.

The hasbrowns were not cooked well down as I had asked for. The eggs were not scrambled hard. When I addressed it, she had the nerve to tell me it was the cheese. I looked at her like she was stupid just so she would know how she sounded. When you know better, you do better. I then asked for a few packets of ketchup for my hash browns. She handed me 18 packets. 😂 I counted. The biscuit was extremely hard so I just threw it out along with the eggs and hash browns. sighs
