Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Rutherford

Went in a for a nice and sweet Oreo Cupfection. I was met with a very lovely staff that put a smile on my face. From the very second, that I walked up to the window they all radiated a joyful and friendly energy. It was rather infectious and I found myself also feeling more merry in their presence.

My server, Luana, was a very sweet and endearing person who I had the pleasure of taking my order. She was assisted by the rest of her team and was able to deliver my order in a quick fashion. A real team leader with a very welcoming personality.

The rest of her team Bella, Brooke, Brittney, and Meghan were amazing and know how to have fun with their work. A remarkable quality of good workers all around. They all maintained a tight ship while still setting a friendly environment for me and other customers. They also know their way around a joke or two so I was naturally more invested in what they had to say.

The cupfection was absolutely delicious. The hot brownie was scrumptious and a perfect hot temperature. It went well in combination with the rest of my cold dessert. A nice ratio of Oreos and ice cream to satisfy my cravings. Along with fudge at the bottom that hit the spot just perfectly.

On Father’s Day a young lady came out of her car with an ice cream in hand. She immediately went to the front counter, while there was a line waiting, and asked to speak to someone. Apparently this lady had been charged $120 for an ice cream. At first I thought I misheard, but she kept asking why she got charged $120 on her card. Mind you something similar happened to me when a few months ago, DQ was offering $0.50 mini blizzards on their app which I used to redeem and was charged $15.00. HAD I NOT CHECKED MY BANK STATEMENT I WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN. This poor woman was charged about 10xs that amount.

I ask EVERYONE that comes here to ASK FOR A RECEIPT WHEN USING YOUR DEBIT/CC. I REPEAT REQUEST A RECEIPT. I feel horrible for this woman, and am wondering if the IRS should be called on them? This location is incredibly shady with their debit/credit card practice. Idk how on earth they are making charges likes this.

So today my husband and I decided to get some blizzard treats. Upon arrival, there was a lady with 2 small children ordering, 2 women waiting to order and then we were next. They first woman had a larger order, and was given her order in a cup carrier. The next 2 women didn't order much. Now it's our turn. When we got to the window there were 3 more people behind us. All we ordered was 2 blizzard treats. Why were we told that we had to stand on the side of the building to wait for our order? The women with the kids, and the 2 women behind her didn't have to stand on the side of the building. Neither did any of the people that was behind us. Now I don't ever play race, but we were the only different color people there, and the only ones that had to wait on the side of the building for their order. Everyone else ordered at the window, and waited at the window for their order. I felt some type of way. But rather than make a scene we waited patiently on the side of the building for our order.
