This was the first time going to Gregory's. I have been in food service for over 40 years. The atmosphere was great but because of time i needed a take out order. I order a full rack of ribs, two orders of the jerky salmon and a order of wings. When got home i heard my child sceaming this isnt fish, this is a pork chop. I call the restaurent told the young lady the problem. She ask me did i want to bring it back? No im at a distance from the store. The young lady took my name and said when ever I'm in the area i can come in the reasurant and get an salmon plate. So now my daughter had to eat only broccoli and corn. Then i pinch a little of the rib, place it in my mouth, and my tongue started tingling. I knew the pork was spoiled. Then i look over and one of my daughter ate some and started complaining about the taste and stomach hurting. At this point i look at 50.00 down the drain. After a while my children was saying to take pictures and call back. I said no, they just loss a customer. Then my son said what about the other customers? So i call back telling the young lady that ribs was spoil. Now i can hear her talking to the cooks. Telling them that this lady call back and what was said. Then i hear the cook say the ribs is alright to him. I explain to the youg lady i don't want more food, i just don't want other people to get sick. She said we made them ribs yesterday. The young lady and the other employees couldnt understand that Im trying to save a life and a business GREGORY'S need to take my advice check the temperature of food and label and store it properly A complain is a sign for improvement. Read moreVisited this placed based upon reviews and a love for eating local cuisine wherever I go. I must say that I was not pleased at all. Upon arriving we were not greeted by a hostess at all - when we asked a woman if they had a high chair she said "yes" and then grabbed menus and just started walking (no "right this way" or "follow me" or "would you like a table or a booth" - she literally said nothing). Our waitress came over and she was sweet and happy - she was probably the only good thing about our experience - although after taking our order she just held her hand out saying nothing - we looked at her in confusion for a minute before realizing she wanted our menus. We ordered lunch specials - the alfredo was nothing more than fettuccini noodles in what tasted like store bought alfredo sauce and the chicken parm was 4 slices of chicken breast on pasta covered in a MEAT sauce (I've never heard of such a thing w/ chicken parm) covered in a ton of melted cheese. We aren't ones to complain - so we simply ate our food and left - but we definitely will NOT be returning nor would I recommend this place. I'm sure they must be lovely to locals - as it seemed that they were nicer to their regulars - but our experience wasn't great. Even at the lunch special rates - the quality of food and the atmosphere aren't...
Read moreOver the years we have been trying to find a good place to eat for dinner on our way back from getting a Christmas tree in Elk Park. Unfortunately this was also not the place. Everyone that ordered burgers in our large party of 12 received over cooked burgers with no flavor that were also barely warm. Some of the kids got their "kids meal" ($5 for the meal) burgers before the adults got theirs. When the adult burger plates came out they were the exact same size burger, on the exact same sized small plates and some of the adult plates had even less fries then the kids plates. The adult burger plates were around $9. Another person in our party ordered the 10oz ribeye cooked medium and she got a well done ribeye. They did make another one for her which was more of a medium but it was very chewy and not good at all. They did discount her meal because of the mistake which was nice. The waitress did a great job keeping drinks full but it took a long time for her to come to get our order and we probably waited an hour before we got our meals. We wanted to love it because of the great selection and prices but it wasn't great at all and I don't think...
