Avellino Bakery & Pizza — Restaurant in Rutland City

If I could rate 0 stars I would. First of all my sister had a gorgeous wedding the only thing off putting was the awful, overpriced catering order she had ordered from Avelinos. The first issue was my sister paid for the catering, thinking she had it all paid for she decided to spend her money elsewhere on the wedding decor and other things, apparently this was not the case she needed another $1900 to pay for DELIVERY. Now $1900 is a lot of money so we thought this must be them serving the food and everything as well, we were wrong this was just for them to drop the food off on the counters And leave. So I helped her pay for delivery as I would not a problem because it’s her special day. This in all costed $3700 in total. There was 3 pans of chicken, 3 pans of beef, 3 pans of mashed potatoes, 3 pans of veggies, 1 meat and cheese platter and 2 veggie plates. Enough food for 200 people which is fine. Everyone got their plates and sat to eat, it was DISGUSTING. For $3700 I could’ve made food that tasted like gold compared to this place, the beef was unbelievable dry and tasteless, the lemon chicken had mushrooms in it also fine although I’ve never heard of mushrooms in lemon chicken, but the chicken was okay, slightly dry as well but not terrible. Mashed potatoes were not mashed whatsoever and tasteless as well, cooked veggies were probably the only thing Worth eating. Every one of the guests had the same opinion including the bride. My new weekly ritual on Tuesday is to order my dinner from Avellinos. Rigatoni with meatballs and Italian sausage. Homemade Italian bread also included. For the price...usually $11, you get your to go container full of delicious pasta with sauce and parmesan cheese. Don't care where you dine in Rutland...for the price, you get enough food for at least 2 meals. Plus I get to support a local business, and a fellow moose lodge member. If you haven't called them before, perhaps give them a call sometime for dinner on a day you're unsure of your dinner plans. You won't be disappointed. I believe orders are taken from 4-7pm. Take...

Ordered wings the week before Christmas Eve, arrived to pick up the wings today and was told that they ran out of teriyaki sauce...so I asked if they tried to call and let us know, but apparently they did t have our number even though they returned our call early in the week when we placed the order :/

I asked if we could just have the wings in a different sauce, he said all they had left was 30 wings, we had ordered 5lbs!!!

He gave me the wings at a DISCOUNTED rate, whatever that means because now I have to go to the grocery store and get more appetizers.

Food is always good, customer service...
