I did a review a few days ago, but I do not see it posted. So I will write another one: I took my daughter and her boyfriend out for Valentine's dinner. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table and were asked if a high top was ok (assuming that's all they had to seat us). we agreed it would be fine. When we got to the high top, there were 2 empty booths right behind us. Where they sat incoming guests who arrived after us. When we sat, I was greeted by a consistent draft coming from a vent attached to piping over my head. The draft was heavy enough to blow my hair around and was very cool, not warm. The waitress took a bit to put in our drink order. I ordered a strawberry margarita, which was absolutely gross and tasted kinda like feet ( the only way I can think to describe it). But, I didn't complain and just drank it. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip with tortilla for an appetizer. Half of the tortilla chips were stale, and there was just a clump of cheese in the middle of the dip that we stirred around ourselves. I ordered the balsamic chicken with mashed potatoes, my daughter ordered a burger, and her boyfriend ordered buffalo mac and cheese but with BBQ instead of buffalo. After about 20 minutes, our food came out, except the Mac and cheese was buffalo, not BBQ like he requested. The waitress noticed it as soon as she sat it in front of him and said, "Oh I'm so sorry, I believe this was meant for someone else, because you ordered BBQ not buffalo, and I can smell the buffalo coming from your plate. Let me go put in the order for the BBQ mac and cheese. It's going to be a little while though. I'm so sorry about that!"...Meanwhile my daughter and I felt terrible about eating our meals when he had to wait for his. So we just picked at ours a little, and my daughter shared some fries with her boyfriend, and he snacked on some popcorn while waiting for his food. But, while I was picking at mine, I found 2 hairs in my mashed potatoes and immediately stopped eating. All of our food was cold pretty quickly due to the drafty vent above my head, blowing all over the table. Once the server came back with the right mac and cheese, I informed her of the hairs in my food, she apologized and said"Oh that's disgusting " really loudly, and then she asked if I wanted the food replaced, I said no, I'm good. So, she did refund the dish I ordered. But the takeaway point is, we sat at a very cold, uncomfortable table with a vent pipe above our heads, blowing cool air all over us. We were served old food and hairy food. Best of all, the waitress insisted the buffalo mac and cheese was meant for someone else, not that it was made wrong and owning their mistakes. If she had simply grabbed the wrong order, we wouldn't have had to wait another almost 20 minutes for the order to be corrected because it would've already been done and ready on...
Read moreSo I gave her the two-star rating and this is the Rutland Vermont restaurant I'm going to be speaking about I did a mobile order. It wasn't even that late coming out but apparently they weren't ready for the family meal deal. I was told that they had to cut up chicken blah blah blah blah and I get it I might have ordered a little too late my bad. The chicken was amazing the potatoes were on point corn you can't really screw up but I ordered the chicken tender and steak tip meal so I got the steak tips and it's like they were cut in half! Sashimi tips LOL not sure if that's how you spell that. I wish I would have took pictures. There was 12 of them but literally cut in half probably six. So were they short on state chips I spent a hundred bucks I only tipped 10. Maybe they weren't happy with that and decided to short me on steak tips? So next time I'm ordering if I get something like this I'm not going to write a bad review and take pictures of basically being robbed. I'm going to go back inside and open the steak tips in front of them to make sure that for one they have the right size for two if they're not get it taken care of right then and there full refund they can take all the food they just cooked and take it back. But I probably won't be going back to the one in Rutland. Because I feel like if you're a cook you knew full well what you were doing. So...
Read moreWent to the Rutland, VT store. During the appetizer we saw a mouse under the table next to us. I got up to tell someone and a waitress said, "did you want to catch it". And then asked if we wanted to move tables, I said surprise, if you have one you have more. She just brushed me off. I went back to my table and took one bite of the seafood chowder and got a long human hair in my mouth, needless to say I was done!!! I told our waitress about the rodent and she was like, "yeah, we know, it's getting cold out and they are starting to come in and this is a old building", again was asked if we would like to switch tables. What the actual hell was happening? Not one employee cared that they had rodents running around the dining room. Our waitress saw the full bowl of chowder and asked if I wanted it to go and I told her no, there was a long hair in it. She apologized and said she would take it off the bill. Really?!, she cared more about the hair then the germ covered rodent!!! She,gave us the check and said, "I bet you can't wait to get out of here and I don't blame you" I answered, you bet and I will never be back. You would think a manager would have come to speak to us but at this particular 99 they...
