4/3/2025 At around 11:30 AM after my early morning shift servicing my own customers, I thought I’d stop by for lunch and pick up some sandwiches for my disabled mother and I. This is the worst interaction I have had at a subway in my entire life, and I have lived in the area for over 20 years now.
When I walked in the store someone was just leaving with their pickup order, and it was just me and the Hispanic employee with a lazy-eye alone in the store for several minutes. For the majority of this interaction actually.
I ordered two footlongs and said I wanted both the breads to be Italian herb, it’s important that I missed the cheese part because apparently if you don’t say ‘cheese’ you just get plain Italian bread. Anyway, the employee, whose named I believe starts with an ‘S’, began putting meatballs on the plain Italian and I told him I ordered the Italian herb. HE told ME, that I had only said Italian, I corrected him and told him I said ‘Italian herb’. He argued with me for several minutes over what bread type I said. And then, he argued with me more because “well I already put the meatballs on this bread”, OK? Fix your mistake please??? Fed up and overstimulated, I said something pretty nasty. Some may consider it a threat under the current administration. My father himself is permanently barred so…anyway the point is it shut him up, and he corrected his mistake, especially so when other customers began arriving.
I am appalled and disgusted by the way I was treated (And surprised by what I said cuz damn). If I had so shamelessly argued with, and disrespected my customers like that, I would...
Read moreI typically only post 5 star reviews but after my encounter with a young man whose 1st initial is "A." I was seriously close giving 1 star. That would not have been fair to Maria because she was wonderful and deserves 5 stars. She is the only reason I am giving 3 stars rather than 1. "A" was extremely rude when I went to pick up our dinner. I told him that we had placed an order for pickup online and I still needed the bag of chips and a Happy Gilmore cup. He handed me the bag and rudely said, "We are not giving you what you didn't order" and walked away. Maria took a moment to actually look at the receipt and saw that we had indeed ordered those items. She was very sweet and helpful and got me a cup and the chips. She has been at this location a long time and has always been great to interact with. However, the dirty look and eye roll that followed from "A" were not necessary. I asked him if I could speak to him for a moment at the side to show him the receipt. I figured maybe he was new and needed to know where to look next time but he said, "No, I'm busy, I dont care." Alright then. That's sad. Customers are what keep businesses going. I run a store in the same shopping center and would be mortified if my assistant spoke to one of our customers that way. I edited right after posting to remove the young man's name. He just needs training and an...
Read moreActually put completely RAW bacon on top of my sandwich and started to place in the toaster to cook it while toasting my sandwich before I stopped her. She took the raw bacon off the sandwich and placed in microwave to cook BUT CONTINUED TO MAKE THE SAME CONTAMINATED SANDWICH without starting a new one, GROSS!!! Had to tell them to cook the bacon separately and then put on a new sandwich. She apologized for the mistake. But then, after handling raw meat WITHOUT CHANGING GLOVES, started to make a new sandwich. Grossed me out to think what else they do if they didn't know to cook the f'n bacon or when they should wash hands. I spoke up rather loudly about the situation to make my point to the rest of the people in line. Want to know the most disgusting part of the whole ordeal? The next guy in line still ordered a sandwich... Can't fix stupid. Subway needs to have food handling 101 at this...
