There is an update to this at the end. I am a HUGE Taco Bueno fan. I normally eat at the location on Miller and 1st in Garland but live closer to this location. I had a craving this evening and decided to pick-up take out at this location since I was getting food at a different restaurant for other family members, had Chinese for lunch. I watched as food was prepared and almost canceled my order. I watched as a member of management, I assumed because he was barking orders at other staff members, prepared orders, handled money, trays, various cleaning rags, containers and, again was preparing food and, did not wash his hands one time. I did see him use an alcohol based germicide on his hands, once. I was waiting to see who prepared my food and luckily it was the staff on the other side who were following proper food handling rules.
I checked Texas food handling regulations and found this staff member to not follow these rules:
Sec. 438.034. EMPLOYEE CLEANLINESS. (a) A person handling food or unsealed food containers shall:
(2) the food service establishment uses two or more of the following contamination control measures:
(A) requiring employees to perform double hand washing;
(B) requiring employees to use fingernail brushes while hand washing;
(C) requiring employees to use a hand sanitizer after hand washing;
(D) implementing an incentive program that encourages employees not to come to work when ill; and
(E) any other contamination control measure approved by the regulatory authority.
I could clearly see the hand washing station and not once were hands properly washed. I then noticed the cashier begin making food when he was able and after handling money he did not wash his hands one time.
This is the last time I will go to this location until the management has changed and proper food handling procedures are followed. I have sent this posting to Taco Bueno corporation so they may know what I have seen and can see the other postings on Google of how this location has gone down hill over the last several months.
A tostada should not be in a bag it should be in something flat and go in the to go back this way. If the cost is going up then charge more just don't serve food like humans are animals. When a customer ask you, do you not put something on an item anymore You respond with yes, and you know that the item does not have that topping because you didn't put it on there And then you look at your coworkers and say she's asking if there's no lettuce and then another Coworker ask again is there no lettuce well duh that's what we're saying and why are you asking if you're the one that knows that there's no lettuce on the item. When you say you're gonna remake something actually do it just don't pile up more Toppings on top of the toppings that you forgot to put. Change your fountain drinks when necessary don't have the customer Taste it once again when you know why it's flat. Pay attention to what type of salsa Is being given out because the normal one was not given it was the darker one and it doesn't even have taste. The service has tremendously gone down. I understand people don't wanna work, but you have to maintain a business and make sure your employees are working correctly. It's not OK to half a* jobs. This has been a repeated thing When coming to this location, sometimes tacos only have cheese sometimes tacos don't Have cheese. It's like let me put what I want on the...
Read moreDrove through to pickup tacos for dinner. I might as well have gone and picked up scraps from the garbage for dinner - I would’ve received more food. The fact that a single taco costs $2.50 and includes the equivalent of not even $0.10 of ingredients is absurd. I have no problem paying to eat out; however, I expect to get at least somewhat of my money’s worth. I would not pay someone $0.75 for these tacos. As The amount of filling is a joke. As well, it is apparently too much to ask for a restaurant to cut a quesadilla into bit size pieces - one that comes from a fast food restaurant, let alone. Additionally, I was rushed to order in the drive through and as a result also ordered one of the incorrect meals. This is not inherently the fault of the restaurant; however, when I asked the person taking my order to please wait I was repetitively asked “what can I get you,” rather than being allowed time to read the menu. I have ate at Taco Bueno for years and have never once been so disappointed. This location needs...
