Went to this location and we were the only ones there. Now that being said there were also 2 employees there as well. A cook and a server. It started out well we sat at the bar and were quickly asked what we wanted to drink. As wafflehouse regulars we know what we want. All star scrambled bacon hashbrowns chuncked. Make one hash covered chuncked a smothered. In a wafflehouse this is pretty standard. Oh and I asked for wheat toast no butter for mine. The other order was all star but with over medium eggs. So our server who seemed new was calling out and the cook who was definitely either tired or had just came back in from a smoke break with a left handed cigarette cause his eyes were glazed over and he was not with it at all. So back to it server is calling out but not like normal he is just calling out like a normal person would not with typical WH cadence. So cook is doing his best I guess. He cooks bacon first and that's it bacon is done sitting there and asked us "Hey you guys want your bacon while its warm?" A little strange but we can see that this is not going to be a good WH experience like we have had in our past at other locations. So we say yes. We are eating our bacon and it's a little crisp but we are not going to buck the system on it. So now cook is starting hashbrowns and we hear him so only cheese on one? Server tells him again but out of WH CADENCE. Then he turns to us and asked us if what he is doing is correct. We informed him of what we wanted again and he said he would rather get it right the first time as he is doing this he is working on the over medium eggs. We can see that he clearly is now an over medium guy as he was tossing the egg you see the yoke open up and start cooking. We see this and by this point we have accepted the fact that this crew is not really ready to be out on a floor by themselves. So those eggs are a wash basically they come out more like a over hard fried egg. We by this point have finished the bacon. Which we normally would get with the rest of the food. So he is doing the scrambled eggs now and doing a good job but he is not paying attention to the hashbrowns and they come out blackened on edges and very well done. He looks at them and still puts them on the plate and then here comes the bread. Mine was supposed to be wheat no butter and of course both orders come out butter and white bread. Server comes up and doesn't even notice the order is not correct. We have now settled in for what has now become a poor showing of this location. So we are muscling down our burt stuff and wrong toast. And the server says ohh you need waffles so we finished our egg plates and waffles still not there he gets them out and they are partially cooked brown and white. We cut into them and well they were still uncooked inside. As we are just picking at the mess that they called a waffle other workers come in and turn the place into chaos. Long hair guy and a older lady. They are in company of another person all in black wafflehouse attire. They start in on our server and say you need to do this and look this is not clean you need to do this now. The begin to start complaining to the man in black who does not look like this what he wants to do this morning. He quietly starts helping cooks and cleaning and refilling all condiments. As we are watching all this transpire the attitudes begin to fly out in the open and they are arguing in front of several customers and then the lady gets a call from here daughter and niece while taking an order and puts the customer on standby as she gets overly excited about the facetime chat she is getting from them and is running around showing everyone her niece and having them say hi to the family on the phone while the other customers look on is awe of this. Finally done with our food and we see that our ticket is all the same we are charged for what we ordered but other have cheese which is an extra cost. I just left alone. So my conclusion is this is the WH that gives WH a bad name kill off this crew...
Read moreWaffle House tonight the wheels fell off this location. 2:05a - 3:10a was my visit so the Owner or General Mgr can see
First time visiting this location, just noticed it from Hwy78 the other day.
On arriving the parking lot was clean and appeared to have a descent amount of customers When l walked across the parking lot a few people were leaving complaining about slow service. Near the front door was a booth where the food looked barely touch. l walked to the other end where a Man was also complaining about slow service and being ignored.
I had a 15 minute wait for my wife to arrive, so the Young waiter brought me water and coffee. I noticed the staff My waiter, 2 Male Cooks and a Female Mgr. There seem to be a heated discussion about the waiter looking to young to work there, but he was 20 and goofing off the gentleman was saying. He asked to speak to the Mgr, who turns out to be 16 (the waiter said) as the discussion continued, while people were waiting on food to be delivered.
Once my wife arrived, we waited additional 15 minutes to be waited on. She decided she wanted nothing at that time. I ordered the Breakfast Bowl which was very delicious as usual. Only issue was l had to ask for my toast twice, both times was blamed on the cooks. Third time l told the waiter my toast popped up and he promptly brought it to me. No cooks were behind the counter at this time. I had to ask for a coffee refill and then again remind him.
l ate while me and my wife continue hearing customers complain about not getting everything they ordered and one Lady complaining about the Mgr texting on her phone more that taking care of helping get the orders to the tables..
l know this is not the typical Waffle House Service, that we have been accustomed to, but this is a very Honest Review.
No pictures were takin of the location, l want to make a return visit and make sure it was not just one of those...
Read moreMy wife, and son and I needed to run some errands and had time to stop somewhere for breakfast. So naturally, as it’s one of my wife’s favorite places, Waffle House was our destination. Though we have been patrons of Waffle House most of our lives, we have never been to this location. Now some locations, that have been there a while, are like what I like to say, “seasoned” more than others. You most likely understand what I’m saying. Things are not exactly as clean as other establishments. But depending on the severity of that, it adds to the experience. Kind of like using a cast iron skillet that’s been passed down a couple generations. It just makes the food taste better that one that is brand new. But as we walked into this location, I immediately notice that it was the best of both worlds. Though the location has been here a little while, you get the cleanliness of a new location and the “seasoning” of one that’s been there a while. I hope my euphemism is understood. To the food, I get the two egg plate, over easy with ham and hash browns peppered, and wheat toast. My wife gets the all star, scramble eggs, bacon, raisin toast, and hash browns scattered smother and covered. She also gets a pecan waffle for our son. Everything was absolutely great. The only complaint isn’t really a this location complaint, because I’ve noticed this at a couple locations. The waffles are different. They are thinner and now they have “Waffle House” stamped in the middle, in case you forget where you’re at. The changing of the waffles is one of the reasons I don’t order them anymore. But if you like them, cool. Go for it. But I recommend this location. Everyone who we interacted...
