First it was small things, I asked for no lemon in my tea, easy enough pulled it out and put it on the table. I also asked for extra napkins right when we ordered our drinks, never got them. When placing our food order, she took my mother's order, then my order and then my daughters order. After a brief moment she asked if I could give her my order again, so I did. Again, not a big deal. I ordered a burger. I have believed it came with no mayo, I have an egg allergy. When she brought out our food she placed egg Benedict in front of me. I said no, this isnt what I ordered. They did put a rush on a burger, but my family was almost done eating by the time it came out. It had mayo on it, I missed it in the description. I asked the waitress and explained I had an egg allergy and didn't see it listed. She asked if she could have them remake it, I said no they were all done eating, I gave my daughter the bacon and lettuce that had the mayo on it and removed the bun. I enjoyed my fries and burger patty, I couldn't be upset, I should have read it better. The MANAGER came to our table and asked about what happened. I explained I ordered the burger and she brought out the Benedict, easy mistake, they had a Benedict with a similar name. And that I missed that the burger had mayo. She immediately cut me off, became condescending and said Well I checked before I came over and its clearly listed. Mind you, I didn't ask for anything to be removed, remade or the manager AND I spoke politely to her. I stated that there had been some other smaller issues as well and I wasn't upset. She walked away, then came back 5 minutes later with a receipt stating that it was removed and basically told me it was my fault. She was very rude. If. I had been rude to the waitress or her I could understand the attitude. But I should have clarified if there was mayo so I didn't want to make a big deal about it. We had to go up front to pay for our bill, there were 5 to 6 employees, including this manager and when they saw us walk up, they rushed out to the kitchen. We waited thankfully a short time for our waitress who was covering both sides to come out and she rang us out. My issue is not with the waitress, she is young and probably learning. Or the mess up on the food, things happen. It's the way the manager spoke to me and my family and then disappeared when we tried to leave. It was unprofessional and really almost ruined our day, especially as this was our first outing since my daughter had open heart surgery a week prior. Unacceptable Saco...

Read moreMy husband and I have been there twice so far. The first time, the wait time for the food was pretty long, but they had just opened, so it was understandable. My meal was very good but they messed up my husband's order, and kept bringing him a revised dish and on the third serving, he settled for what they brought him, but it still wasn't what he ordered. We went back a second time. We both wanted coffee, so the usual carafe was brought to our table, and the waitress poured it for us, but only to a little more than half full. When she moved on, we proceeded to fill our cups and found that the carafe had very little coffee in it - barely enough to fill 2 cups. The waitress had to know this, or she wouldn't have poured so little out in the first place. Needless to say, we ran out of coffee and asked the waitress for a refill, which she brought with a bit of an attitude, and the coffee was cold. The wait time was again way too long and when we finally got our food, it too was cold. My husband had ordered his breakfast with hash but got home fries instead. I ordered the same thing as the first time, but it wasn't as good - probably because it was cold. I have always enjoyed the i-hop in South Portland. They are quick with service and consistent with the food. Always courteous and pleasant. So, I was thrilled that we were getting an i-hop in Saco, but if the food and service doesn't improve, I can't imagine them staying open for very long. The tourist might keep them in business while traveling through, but the locals are gonna go elsewhere. We want you to succeed. Please make this a better experience, or it may be 3 strikes...
