We’ve been loyal customers of Duc Hương Bánh Mì, often traveling from Fairfield just to get their sandwiches. However, after today’s experience, we won’t be returning.
I ordered six large garlic pork bánh mì to go, specifically requesting veggies on the side multiple times. When we received our order, the sandwiches already had veggies inside. Since we were traveling a long distance, I politely asked the cashier if they could be remade to prevent them from getting soggy. A staff member initially took the sandwiches back, but shortly after, the original cashier informed us that they couldn’t redo them because it was a garlic bánh mì—only regular ones could be remade.
She then claimed she didn’t hear me ask for veggies on the side, but the person standing next to me confirmed that I had said it multiple times. I even suggested they could resell the sandwiches, since they were the popular grilled pork variety, but they refused and told me my only option was to take the incorrect order or buy six new ones.

Read moreThere is a long line no matter when you come here. . I come here during peak hours just be prepare to wait but hey they have 3 registers. But the processing of making sandwiches does take time even if there are multiple people doing the sandwiches. . So I come here for their banh mi which is viet sandwiches such as the combo one which comes with viet ham and viet home made meats with veggies and jalapenos. I always request garlic bread over the regular bread. . Also I like getting the vegeterian which comes with ear mushrooms and tofu skin and I request it with garlic bread. . Also I love their grilled pork sandwiches too with garlic bread. . My all time favorite must at least once a week is the banh cuon which is this thin layer of rice noodle wrapped with minced pork and wood ear mushroom. And dipped with fish sauce and I am in heaven! I get the big box of that for like 4.85 which is so worth it. So fresh on the weekends not sure if they sell during weekday but if they do must get when they first open otherwise it's gone in a few hours. . Parking is chaotic but hey that's where the best food is at so you must if your craving for some bomb sandwiches ;) try their sides such as the banh cuon and other little snacks. . I dont normally eat here because it's hot and a long line but they do have tables. I usually take home...
