Snowbee Tea Station — Restaurant in Sacramento

We usually love Snowbee. We even take out-of-town guests here for a fun treat. Today’s review is based on service alone.

It’s Sunday around 730pm when we walked in. We were greeted politely by the cashier and told her we would like to stay in to dine. Wanted to grab some food and a couple shaved snow. We even brought our 3 year old with us and he was so excited. We sat down and waited for menus. No one came to check on us. We think they’re probably busy since it looked like only two people were working. There’s no one in the place except for one other couple who were there before us and they were already served water. We waited some more and then grabbed a menu ourselves. People start coming in to order. They were greeted and asked what they wanted. Then one person comes out to give the couple sitting their drink and immediately goes back to the back. Then the cashier we talked to came out to give the couple something else and barely glanced at us before rushing back to make the orders for the other people.

Usually we are patient and don’t mind waiting but after 15+ mins of no acknowledgement or service, we just left. It just felt like our business wasn’t needed so we took it elsewhere.

I love coming here for their desserts Boba and now they are serving some korean corn dog. There are five different flavors for the corn dog. Potato Dog-Potato Cubes wrapped corn dog - i do like the textures and you can dress it with sauces or just sugar and cinnamon. The texture of the potatoes is like French fries. I like to dip mine in ketchup. Spicy Dog- Hot Cheeto dust corn dog - perfect for any spicy lovers. The hot cheetos is a nice crunch and touch for texture. I loved the layer of cheese spread onto the corn dog before the dusted spicy hot cheetos. Japanese style Dog- Combination of Teriyaki Sauce, Mayo, and Bonito flakes - love how the bonito flakes move. The sauce is umami. I paired this with half Beef and cheese filling. loaded Dog -Top with our house ranch and loaded cheese and bacons - this one is fancy and they do torch it too. Korean plain corn dog - if you love simple this is the to go to. Below is the filling you can choose. choose your filling 1. All Mozzarella cheese 2. Half Beef Sausage half Mozzarella cheese 3. All beef sausage . I love coming here for their strawberry matcha boba with dairy free milk. The matcha is not bitter but strong. The drink isn't too sweet either. I’ve been coming to snowbees for years, and have been disappointed my last 3 times coming end. They close at 9 pm, but typically their kitchen closes at 8:30 pm so if you want to eat your food there that’s when you need to be in the building. Incident #1 we came at 8:30 and they refused to let us dine in. Incident #2 we came at 8:24 pm and were refused service to dine in. Incident #3 was Easter Sunday. We called beforehand to make sure they were open. She said 9 pm. We went earlier than usual to make sure there were no hiccups to eat in. We got there at 8:15 pm and were refused to be able to dine in. At this point I tell her we called and there’s people who were recently sat because they had menus. It’s extremely frustrating.
