I want to point out that i haven't even tried the combo i ordered yet which consisted of a #2 cheese tamale and carnitas burrito. This is for the horchata. This is not only by a mile the best horchata of my entire life this was quite possibly without exaggeration the best drink ive ever had and im in my high 30s, not a joke they are not playing with the horchata game here. Nobody even comes close i drank the whole 24 oz drink in about 1.5 minutes then begged to buy a refil without waiting a second time in the long out the door line. A winner from every direction. The number 2 combo only costs $7.60 and you get a fat carnita burrito and rice and beans inside and the cheese tamale has jalapenos in it and its covered with red sauce you also get a side of beans and rice and like 8 homemade chips for $7.60 with a $20 minimum wage at most fast food places this is quite possibly the best deal in town additionally that worlds best horchata was only $2.25 for 24oz i had enough food to eat some later when i was hungry again and the damage? $9.85 which includes tax, under $10 and better than chipotle with more food. They have other combos and ots enough for 2 people for under $10 can you say "double jackpot"? The only sad thing is the line is always very long out the door and its not open late so unfortunately i got to come before 7pm. Another victory is the people are very nice and helpful and if they are judgemental ive never been able to tell because i always get ear to ear smiles. One of my favorite food locations in Sacramento, and very clean area helps me feel like no roaches unlike lets say albertos or carolinas which costs double for less food and way less quality, this is real Mexican food made by good honest people for very little money. I...

I went to the deli today and picked up the Carnitas Package for 20 people. I called in my order around 9am and picked it up around 11am. The person on the phone who took my order was courteous and kind and they repeated back to me what I ordered so I was confident that they got my order right. I picked up the food at around 11:10 am and there was already a line out the door. Luckily, they had another line inside for customers who were picking up an order. Once again, the lady who helped me was very kind and knowledgable - she walked me through all the items in my order and it was ready. She also very kindly ran a cart out to my car and helped unload all of the food. OK - now onto the food. This was the first time I had ordered food from the deli, based on excellent recommendations from several people. I decided to buy this package and treat the staff at work for an appreciation luncheon. Everyone loved the food and the quality was excellent. I couldn't believe how good the chicken fajitas, rice and beans were. I ordered a dozen beef tamales and I should have ordered more as they got gobbled up in about 5 minutes! I actually had another helping of rice and beans they were so freakin good!! I am going to order again for sure, every part of this transaction was smooth and easy and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. This is a top place - please try it for yourself, especially if you need food for...

Have come here for years to buy massa and already made tamales. Not sure what the problem is but not so great this year. Tamales were too saucy and the employees were running in circles even though they waited on people one by one, their attitudes were not so good, they didn’t want to be there. Plus, there was one little sign saying no hot cooked tamales for sale today by the door and the line was in the parking lot, I’m sure lots of mad customers when they got to the sign. Bakery was the worst, not that long of a line, no product on the shelves. People were leaving not buying anything. My husband is a baker and was shocked they weren’t baking 24/7 to keep the product stocked. Same thing last year and someone in line told me about a little store down the street that had fresh baked items, so both years we went there including this year and everything was on the shelf, including lots of pigs and jelly rolls. Are they getting too big for themselves !!! Sad, we are looking elsewhere for next year, 2 years in a row with this type of experience is not acceptable. It’s their business, they should know...

I would give this place a 5 star but 1 of the chicken tamales out of 2 I've gotten barely had any meat or any sauce but the 2nd one I had was really good. Had alot of flavor and a decent amount of chicken in it. Line can be long sometimes but it's well worth the wait since it's pretty cheap and good. The tamales were like $1.75 each but if you pay with card instead of cash under 5 dollars they charge like a 75 cent fee. And I've had the burrito from here before and it's pretty good and cheap as well. If you are really on a budget and want Mexican food this is the place to go. Idk about there tacos though last time I had it they give you an uncook tortilla with it but I believe it's a decent amount portion of meat in it w/ cilantro and chopped onions

This place is armed to the bone with security. Follow the smell of chicharrones (fried pork things). The food place that serves it will have very low prices for traditional Mexican fare. I paid $3.25 for a chicken burrito and it was poached chicken with rice and refried beans. They did not add anything else so be prepared for that. I paid $13 for the same thing somewhere else in sac for chicken stew inside of the burrito so that’s 75% cheaper to order it here… that being said the lines are out the door and long. I waited almost 20 min to place my order and retrieve it. Make sure to ask them for salsa with your order after you get it too. They’ll gladly hand it to you.
