Little Cafe 小厨娘茶餐厅 — Restaurant in Sacramento

Unfortunately I'm sick with a cold and feeling pretty bad. I just wanted some simple soup and something else to help me warm up and feel a little better. I remembered Little Cafe had HK inspired dishes so I knew they'd have some soup I could order. I placed my order online and got the corn egg drop soup (the preserved veggie soup also looked really good but figured I shouldn't eat pork right now) and then I got the salt and pepper tofu.

I'm genuinely happy to have this place in my neighborhood and I hope they stick around. The woman working is really kind and the food tastes delicious. The soup really hit the spot and the tofu was cut into big pieces and perfectly fried without being oily or heavy.

I plan to come back when I'm feeling better to try their HK French toast and...

This place has just been opened a few days ago.

Understandably food and service is coming at a certain pace. While food arrived a bit on the slower side, service was attentive.

The inside decor is standard. It was quiet and nothing really to be excited about.

They actually have a few more drink options not on the menu. They are written on the wall behind the counter you can easily see when you walk in.

I do plan to visit this place more to try some of their other menu items. I get the feeling as the days go on quality and performance will improve.

In their current soft opening phase, the first try of the passion fruit tea turned out to be surprisingly delicious, BBQ pork fried noodles were a bit salty but acceptable, and unanimously, we gave five stars to the seafood fried rice. The food prices are within a reasonable range, the only potential improvement could be the speed of the kitchen in serving (understandably, during the soft opening, they are figuring things out and making updates). We observed only one girl serve at the front, managing a full house, yet the service remained attentive and meticulous. She also super friendly and nice towards us.
