While there are a couple places here I shop at regularly, the fact that I live across the street makes it slightly less meaningful. The issue with this shopping area is the ratio of occupied spaces to vacant ones. There are so many empty spots here! One in particular is what used to be a frozen yogurt shop that has been vacant since before I moved here over 5 years ago, and there is still all the same stuff, like signs and bins and other frozen yogurt shop type stuff, from the previous lessor inside. Its a little creepy for some reason. I was really bummed when the Tuesday Morning closed. I loved going in there once a month or so just to see what cool new random stuff they had in stock, but the rent was raised too much for them to stay. Really crappy. It really irritates me when I hear of landlords of smaller neighborhood shopping areas like this raising rents to the point that shop owners just leave because its usually small business owners and the neighborhood who suffer in the name of greed. There are a number of spaces that are currently being prepped for new businesses to move in, however, so I am very excited to see that. I truly wish those businesses well, and hope to see a few more come join our neighborhood, too. Good beginning work on the part of the newer property...
Read more(November 2020) The shopping center is clean and has a new construction look to it. I shopped at the Bel Air grocery store. It's a good looking store, nice festive holiday displays, brightly lit inside, everything in good condition. Just make sure to check your receipt before leaving. My sweet potatoes (yams) $1.99lb were charged as (broccoli) $2.49lb. And I paid by credit card to avoid touching cash during the covid-19 pandemic, however, instead of crediting the discrepancy back to my card, I was given dirty cash back. Some of the change, pennies especially, look like they've sat in a gutter for a few months. Worst clerk ever! A note to anyone in retail, if you have coins in your drawer that are covered in so much crud that you can't tell if it's Abe Lincoln or Mickey Mouse, you should send those coins back on the next armored car pickup and give your customer some decent coins that don't look like they carry the plague. I didn't tell a manager because the guy way probably new and still figuring stuff out. I'm sure the other clerks are very good at their job. I still recommend this store, because it is above average in appearance. And they carry...
