As a single mom and serial entrepreneur( trauma specialist, wellness specialist, renowned blogger, author) customer service is critical to me. I believe in providing absolutely excellent customer service without excuse.
I just moved back to California. I was so exited to go to Round Tables. They just built one in my state but it wasn’t as good as California. I run in here for a lunch special.
As I’m waiting at the counter for nearly 10 minutes. I look around and only see a cook in the back. At this point, my time is being wasted. I pretty much go into the kitchen. This was the only way to receive attention. As I said, hello hello prior to entering the kitchen. As I awaited at the counter.
Finally the cook/cashier emerges. I order my lunch special. A pizza and salad. I ask for a cup of water. Now as a business owner, if I know someone has been waiting for a long time because my business lacks the necessary employees. I would’ve offered a discount. But none of this was offered. So upon receipt a small water cup. I asked for a larger cup. Preferably a soda cup. The cashier said, no very meanly. I said really, I waited for ten minutes and I had to enter the kitchen which is against health code just to place my order. And I can’t be accommodating with a free beverage cup? After waiting 10 minutes and still purchasing a $13 meal? That’s customer service at RoundTables for you.( while I’ve been here for the past four days, I received better customer service at fast food places who when I ask due to being inconvenience I am obliged.) customer service is the backbone to corporations like this because they depend on consumers like myself.
This may be why round table is going out of service throughout California. Because they lack quality customer service and genuine customer care they should take notes on places like Chick-fil-A who offer exceptional above and beyond in absolute excellent customer service. Also, the health coach should really take a visit to this location as their salad bar was disgusting. I had to ask for a new salad mix!
I’m way out the cashier tells, “I don’t care about your review!”
Florin Round Tables this sounds like...
Read moreWhen you think of "Round Table Pizza", you suddenly think of the days going in their restaurant complete with wood paneling everywhere, stained glass lamps, arcade machines, and a full-service salad bar. At least that was my impression of their pizza parlors growing up. As far as consistency, this place has always been an average and somewhat predictable experience.
This takes me to the Florin Road location tucked in the Bel Air shopping center in between S. Land Park Dr. and Freeport Blvd. in the Pocket/Greenhaven neighborhood of Sacramento. Since this particular location is close to my work building, I decided to pick up an extra large "King Arthur's Supreme" pizza for pick-up around 12:00pm.
As far as the interior layout of this place goes, this particular Round Table has been modernized and updated complete with faux-wood flooring, up-to-date tables/chairs, and a very extensive beer pouring station. It definitely is spacious and has that nice sports bar feel complete with a few big screen TV's; perfect for watching a sporting event.
Upon entry, it was not very busy. But at least the pick-up process of my pizza was very simple as they provided extra paper plates, packs of crushed red pepper & parmesan cheese, and lots of napkins with my pizza. After making the quick 7 minute drive back to my office, there was an abundance toppings while the pizza itself was piping hot. To those of you that don't know, the King Arthur's Supreme has been one of their signature flagship pizzas that includes pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, linguiça, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and black olives with zesty red sauce.
The one drawback of this place is the price. I understand how much inflation has gone up but an extra large version of this pizza came to about $42 after tax. Definitely not cheap considering you can get much better deals for the same quality at several other places. Overall the pizza was above average and cooked well. Service was average. But with the high price, I would only have to rate this "Round Table Pizza" an average...
Read moreRound Table Pizza on Florin Road... Awful! First, I was told that I had a two hour wait for takeout (not a problem, it's still early), but about 20 minutes later the family decided they didn't want pizza that bad. I call back to cancel, thinking a two hour wait time... Cancelation should not be a problem. Now I am told, no pizza is already in the oven. Well good thing I called back, because coming to pick up a pizza an hour and a half after its been sitting waiting for pickup is not good. So, I go to get the pizza. Second problem, I ordered two pizza one for my sister who was with me and the other for myself. Oh, and by the way, there was a about 4 people in the place and we walked right up to the cashier... Not sure what happened to the crowd that would cause a two hour wait but she assured us that we were told right. Back to the order, she says she can't separate the order, because it's already in the system. What? We want to pay separately. Sorry I can't separate the order. Thankfully another young lady working heard her and said, yes you can I'll show you... And she did. Ok, I have a coupon. Sorry I can't honor your coupon, the cost is already in the system. What? I have never heard of such a thing. I'm sorry I can't enter your coupon in the system. That was it for me, on that note I told them to keep the pizza and I left. I will never go there again. It's not my usual Round Table anyway, I usually go to the one on Howe which is closer to me, this one is by my sister's house. Lastly, I have to mention, the cooking area was filthy and this is not the first time I've seen it in that condition! Filthy! If I could rate this place less than 1 star I...
