Dear Starbucks, please do better. When people order drinks with a dairy alternative, please pay attention. Don’t just make a drink without actually looking at the changes that are requested by the customer. have your employees retrained on actually looking at what changes the customer are asking for especially if it’s a dairy change. this is an actual health concern for the customer. I almost had to go to the hospital due to severe abdominal pain (I am very lactose intolerant.) which caused me to be in pain from 3pm-10am this morning.thats 18hours of pain and suffering. I was suffering throughout the night! if the pain did not resolve by this morning, I was going to go to the hospital today! Take this seriously as there have been many lawsuits towards Starbucks due to negligence like this. Yesterday I Ordered a coffee with soy milk. And specifically always order with soy or a different dairy alternative due to my severe lactose intolerance. when I got home I took about 5 big gulps, when I stopped and thought to myself, hmm this tastes like actual milk dairy. I wasn’t sure as sometimes the coffee does mask the taste of the milk. But after one more gulp, I realized it was indeed milk. I did not drink the rest of the drink as I was preparing for the worst now. about an hour after I drank the coffee my stomach started having terrible pain and gas. Which lasted from 3pm-10am… tossing and turning all through the night. I am heavily tattooed and when I say the pain was worse than all my tattoos combined, it means it was really painful. I know it wasn’t anything else that I had to eat throughout the day that caused this pain as I stick to a specific diet as to not upset my stomach. I do usually have coffee every other day with soy or almond milk, which never upsets my stomach. however yesterdays coffee did. Because of the milk that was used. Please have employees really pay attention to dairy alternatives as this isn’t something that should be shrugged off. It’s an actual health concern that can cause a customer to have to go to the...
Read moreI only stop at this location when my first choice is not taking mobile orders. Two times I have had employees get really snarky about showing up before my drink is ready. I pass this location almost daily and the drive thru is usually busy so I submit my order anticipating having to wait in a long drive thru line. When I got to the order box, one male employee rudely cut in on the girl originally talking to inform me that they need five minutes to make my drink. I get it, mobile orders take a min to arrive, be seen and made but I didn't do it on purpose to rush them and there was a line so I figured there would be enough time, especially as the app had estimated my drink would be done at that point. It ended up taking about 5/6 mins from the time I talked to them to the time I reached the window.
This is actually the second time it's happened at this location (months apart, I dont make it a habit to show up early and I rarely go to this location) and it makes me very weary of interacting with staff here. The first interaction is actually why I always make sure there's enough time between ordering and pickup, even when the app says my order is ready. All of this coupled with the fact that my drink is hardly ever made right is why I avoid this location to begin with. Overall, I know this location is busy and missing out on my little order isn't a big deal but I really hate that I feel like I have to avoid this place. No other location speaks to me that way or messes up my drink as much as they have.
Maybe a little patience will go far, I understand you're busy, but the snark was unwarranted when I didn't anticipate...
Read moreSo I've never been to this location before, first time. Upon entering it had the same vibe as most other locations. Slightly after 7pm, about 5 people or so.
I get my drink and use the restroom before sitting in the lobby and firing up my laptop. I'm only in it about 5mins or so before one of the workers (didnt catch name but heavy set asian girl) approaches me and says that the lobby is closed and I'd have to leave. I was a bit confused at this as the sun was still up and seemed so early still.
I start to pack up my laptop I ask her what time they close, and she informed me that they close at 730pm everyday. I thanked her for the info and proceeded towards the front door. As this same asian girl was fiddling with keys at the door, I assume that she going to lock the doors after I left. No, she was trying the lock the door and another worker told me that I'll have to exit through the side door a about 20-30 ft away. I exit and head to my car which was parked directly in front of the front door.
As I'm walking to my car, I noticed the asian girl taping a notice to the door. It read "Lobby Closed. Sorry we missed you". An odd thing to say if this is the time they close "everyday" as I was told.
A quick google search confirmed my suspicions that this location actually closes at 930pm, not 730.
I'm not quite sure why she would have lied about their regular hours, or what the reason was for closing early, but I do believe it's due to me being a Trans-woman.
I've been discriminated against for this many times, and my gut told me that this too was the reason for this...
