Honestly my sister has been recommending this place to me for many and many of years. It's very far out of our way to go but one day I had to drive past Sacramento with my sister and she told me that we absolutely have to go here and for me to try it out. I finally conceded and said yes. I was always told that it was really made for weddings to be hold and that the food was for catering. But I guess that was all too true. They do sometimes have weddings here, but it's very rare and it will become private. But when they arent having a wedding, they are able to serve many and many of tables if they pleased because of how big the building is and with how many tables they have. But when it's open as a restaurant almost nobody is there. And the food oh my God, it was to die for. Especially for the price. Soup of the day was my favorite in all of existence. Hot and sour soup, and I feel they nailed it perfectly. Huge lunch plates for incredible price. I had the sweet and sour pork with brown rice and eggs and the sour soup. And it filled me up till the next day. I wish this place was closer honestly it was soooo good. Sorry for long review, hope this atleast makes one person wanna go there and give it a try. If you do like this review please,...
Read moreStopped by for Dim Sum as we were in town for an ultrasound. The first place we had in mind was closed and so we chose to come here. We loved it!! Much better than the first dim sum place we were originally going to! When we first showed up (around 3:30pm), the place was empty, minus one other Chinese couple. We didn't see the usual dim sum carts rolling around and wasn't sure whether the place was even serving food or if they were closing. However, I'm glad we sat down and asked about the dim sum because they still serve it to you on a separate menu. The food was fresh. Everything we ordered was fantastic and very flavorful. It was quick, hot, and delicious. They have a bunch of fresh crab and lobster by the kitchen as well, which makes me want to come back for some seafood! They have a huge variety of dishes on their menu for Chinese. And to top it all off, the staff was very nice, very helpful, and made the place feel very welcoming. We can't wait to come back for more. Already back home and am wishing we had...
Read moreEgg fu yung was really good and the portions were generous. The woman who took my order was very polite and even sold me some rice in addition to the egg fu yung( I was gonna spend $8.00 at most).
I asked hrr if the gravy was brown and it was but it was a bit thin for me but it wasn't over salty
I ordered food as promised and Ended up leaving half of it at someone's house. Got news that my sick sister had been taken off meds and they were keeping her comfy, called happy garden and asked for an accommodation to have my order ready at 10 a.m. due to the fact that my flight leaves at 12: 00 tomorrow. After expressing i was going reasons of bereavement, I was told "sorry see you when you get back. " NO YOU WONT. Why???? Because I chose them out of the hundreds or should I say thousands of places that I could have chosen To be my "comfort" during this time of bereavement and I have all of the paperwork to prove and back up my words. What a pity. Best egg fu yung so far. I'll...
