Okay at first I felt bad for posting this because its at odds with so many other positive reviews but apparently many of the negative Yelp reviews also speak to the same problem. Girlfriend and I sat down at the bar and ordered 2 appetizers and 3 sushi rolls. We got the first appetizer straight from the sushi chef which looked odd, but my girlfriend thought it was what she ordered. After one bite i noticed our waitress talking with the chef about how the appetizer was supposed to go to the couple NEXT to us instead. Whoopsie. Well, as the night continued they left the appetizer with us, and there were no other mix ups. We ate it, the rest of our sushi, and NOTHING was said to us about having to pay for their mix up. Finally at the end of the night the waitress spoke with the chef before bringing us the bill and we found we had been charged for the appetizer. We spoke with the waitress asking why we were being charged for the appetizer and were told after speaking with her boss she was told to add on the appetizer. Rather than press the issue we just chose to pay to leave. Needless to say, we won't be going back.

I’ve been going to sushi cafe for YEARS. Great food, great prices. I would say they are up there with Mikuni, maybe even better. Bento boxes have good portions and come with salad and miso soup. Spicy garlic edamame is the best I’ve tried. Packed with flavor. If you get there during happy hour, the sushi rolls are $5!!!! Insane deal. Recently ordered the sushi boat. $77 with 48 pieces. Presentation is great, but for the price I expected more. It’s good for samples but it’s almost cheaper to get individual rolls. More pieces, less money.

Food was very tasty, service was nice and quick. Very nice selection of sushi on happy hour and on the regular menu as well. Great price for the amount we ate. Tempura was nice and crispy as well as the sesame chicken and tonkatsu. I don't usually finish the side salads given with the sesame dressing but for some reason this was a lot more fresher tasting and generally more satisfying so nothing was left. Sushi rolls were large and tasty, would very much recommend the special roll.

The best sushi I've had in awhile! I ordered the Saki flight because I've never seen that offered before. They should write out names of the saki so the customer knows which is which. Ordered the Maki 8 piece chef's choice... It was perfect although again wasn't clear what a few pieces of fish were. My husband ordered the tempura. He said it was delicious. Overall a 5* just a few minor things that would make it perfect!!! (Parking is tough when it's busy. 1 way in and out.)

I use this as a go to sushi spot due to it being close but there has been a few errors over my visits. One time, a few months ago, they mixed me and another customer up charging me $75+ when my order was about $20. They instantly refunded me but it took a few days to refund. Today there was an issue when I ordered their Chef’s Special(first 2 pics, ) and MVR(last pic), both supposed to be 8-10 pieces big at $15.95 each. Well the chef’s roll was 6 pieces big.

Newly renovated, my everyday go to Sushi place, know the owner for long time, great location next to Land Park and City College, serving fresh Sushi and never frozen, most of the items from Japan directly, you can order secret menu and Omakase, business is more than 20+ yrs. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Company party or friends party or wedding all welcome, ask for Bryant, they will serve you well.
