Taco Exxpress #4 — Restaurant in Sacramento

This place has changed for the worst after rolling out the new menu. Most of the new items are just weird, overpriced gimmicks, and the great food they used to have is now so expensive that it’s not worth going most of the time. Even the specials aren’t worth it anymore because the cooks make those items worse on those days. Whether it’s giving smaller portions, or just making a mess of the meal, it’s very obvious that they don’t want the specials bought. And on top of that most of the guys working in the truck are rude, unprofessional, and frankly pathetic. Whether it’s mean mugging the customers, not paying attention to what they’re charging the customers, or even ignoring the customers all together, it’s obvious why I don’t feel like going anymore, and I used to go a lot. But the last time I went I was informed the card reader was down and it was cash only, no problem I had $20. But the 3 tacos I ordered came out to be over $15 and took just under 20 minutes after ordering. Employees who seem to be underage kept asking me if I’d been helped in that time because there was no one even in the truck for most of it. Then when one of the children drops off my food and change and runs off, the cook glares at me from the truck, grabs the tip jar and slams it against the side of the truck a couple times until I acknowledged him, glared back and never returned. When we pull up to the parking lot everyone was so confused. The parking lot is for the taco truck. You order at the taco truck then they bring the food to you. . The building inside is just a bathroom and some tabels for you to sit in. The inside isn't anything fancy. It wasn't cool enough for a hot day, but it was fun because there was a bunch of us there. . We all took advantage of the 1.50 tacos and we had the beef and chicken tacos crispy of course. We all loved the tacos. The shells were crispy and wasn't cooked in old oil. They gave us plenty of salsa too. Simple comfort crispy tacos. . Overall we loved the vibe and taco tues was a success. This location is different from the rest. This location is pretty good: good service, good food. My only complaint is how stingy they are with the roasted jalapeños. They don't offer the option to buy extras like the Power Inn location does, so whenever I ask for extra they always tell me they'll add them, but they never do. 9 out of 10 times they don't even give me a single one, and at least half the time they don't even include the grilled onions on the side with the street tacos. Power Inn is the better location, it's just further and less convenient for me, but other than their aversion to giving grilled jalapeños and onions, the food and service is good.
