Taco Bell — Restaurant in Sacramento

I'm disappointed to say I am no longer ordering from Taco Bell after my experience here. I got completely scammed- I had placed an online order through their website which is listed here on google maps. When coming in to pick up my order, I showed my confirmation email and the man said they didn't have it on their queue but he would look, and started helping other customers. After 4 other customers were helped, I checked in again (I have only a half hour lunch) and the guy only then started looking for my paid order. He asked if I ordered through Doordash and I said no, I ordered online on the Taco bell website. When he finally got another employee to assist him, I was told that they don't take online orders, only through the app. So what then happened to my order and my money? I wasn't provided any follow up of what to do, just that they couldn't refund me, period.

I drove back to work because my lunch was already over by that time. Since I'm 6 months pregnant, I can't skip lunch so I decided to order again and Doordash my order this time. When the Doordasher arrived, I noticed that the order # on my take-out bag was the EXACT SAME order # on my email confirmation from the first time I ordered (not doordash). So this means they submitted my first order as "completed" even though I failed to receive my food or a refund from that order, it was just lost somewhere. Needless to say, I'm very upset about this incident, in both the location I visited and the Taco Bell corporation for offering online orders when their establishments can't follow up on those orders. I can only wonder how many other customers have been mistreated...

This is a one star Taco Bell. Even if we’re only comparing it to other Taco Bells, it’s one star, and I’m kind of a subject matter expert. Like many Americans I have enjoyed the hot horror of Taco Bell for decades at dozens of locations across the country.

This particular Taco Bell I have visited on three separate occasions in the past year while in town for business, each time for the same reasons: proximity from hotel and open late.

Each time, my order has been delivered to me incorrectly. One time is a bummer. Two times is unlucky. Three times means this Taco Bell sucks, and I’m the moron for giving it a third try.

I can accept a poor quality product, I can accept poor customer service, I can even accept deep regret on the toilet later—after all, this is a Taco Bell. The food is cheap and so are the employees.

I cannot accept a completely incorrect delivery of my order. I mean…are you even a restaurant then? Or are you like some kind of randomly generated loot box of Mexican themed mystery? I ain’t no marine biologist so it’s not my place to decipher, but I can tell you this Taco Bell blows.

Okay, fair is fair. I’ve since moved to the area, and instead of visiting this Taco Bell once in a month late at night, I frequent it only during the day. Day shift is fantastic, service is always good, food is consistent and delivered very quickly. So after a couple months of very consistent performance out of this location, it’s time to suck up my pride and admit: this is a solid Taco Bell. I left this review on another location but the same applied to this location last time I went there. Truly a shame because this location used to be the "good" location. Hopefully this issue is resolved soon and never allowed to happen again.

To preface: Taco bell is my go-to fast food for something cheap and fast. Fast food workers are underpaid and overworked so I don't care about the occasional order mix-up or rude server. It happens. The bar is low for fast food and I only really expect something edible that has been made in accordance with food health regulations.

Man, I don't know what's going on with TB as I've had this experience with all the ones nearby--there has been a strange, bitter, chemical taste to anything that's been fried. Typically the chips and taco shells. Even the smell of it was nauseating. I don't know if there's an oil shortage so they can't change out their oil or if it's just the restaurants being cheap but... it's bad. Inedible.
