Do you like gelato? Do you live in Sacramento? Do you (like me) want to find a way to beat the stifling 100+ degree summer heat? If you answered yes to any (and likely) all of the above, then you're in luck because I've got a great suggestion for you! You should go check out Yume Gelato!
Yume Gelato is right off of Folsom Boulevard, and they offer a rotating menu of gelato, with enough variety to satisfy any graving whether you want something tart and fruity, or something a little more decadent and loaded with chocolate. If you want to know what flavors they have in rotation for any given day, you can check out their Facebook page, on which they'll post a picture of their menu. They also offer free samples, so even if you walk in not knowing what flavors they have, you have the opportunity to sample them all and decide on the one(s) you'd like to go with.
I will note while they do have a parking lot it is on the smaller side, and you may find your car parked quick closely with another patron's so definitely take some care when you're parking and backing out. They do offer both indoor and outdoor seating, but similar to their lot it's not the most plentiful; however, it is enough to sit at least a couple parties. Now onto the gelato!
I arrived with my fellow gelato afficionados on a warm Saturday afternoon, eager for a sweet cold treat. I sampled a good number of their flavors before finally decided on creamy strawberry and raspberry mascarpone, while another went for their strawberry basil and espresso brownie. We were able to find a little table with three seats in a corner of their shop and settled in to enjoy our bounty. I'm always a fan of fruit-flavored anything, so the creamy strawberry and raspberry mascarpone flavors were a no brainer for me. I found both flavors very thick and creamy with the fruit components providing the perfect tart complement to the rich dessert. Overall, I enjoyed my selections, and would definitely be back to sample some of their other flavors in the future!

Read moreMy boyfriend and I have been on a mission over the last few weeks to find the best gelato in the Sacramento area and Yume is definitely it.
In terms of price and serving size, Yume by far is the best value. Also by far the most flavorful and best mouthfeel for gelato as well.
Yume also has gluten free and vegan options and being someone who is gluten intolerant I am thankful that they have clearly labeled gluten free options.
They also have a wide variety of flavors that are updated daily on Instagram so it's easy to know what your options are before you go or if you're waiting for them to have a specific flavor. There's bound to be a flavor for everyone to enjoy!
My favorite flavor has been the Vietnamese coffee. My boyfriend is hoping that they have Thai Tea or horchata flavors again soon since we see they were flavors in the past. But honestly every flavor we have tried has been great.

Read moreCame here for some gelato after finding it online and seeing all the great reviews. I honestly don’t know what other gelato places there are nearby. I got the small size and I didn’t finish just due to how filling it was. They have a lot of flavors to choose from, my favorite was the Eggnog flavor. The eggnog flavor was creamy, rich, and tasted so good. Without being overly sweet. They have some dairy free flavors as well. You can get multiple flavors in one cup which was nice since and they do offer samples.
The place is very cute and clean. We were able to sit inside and even though it was late there had a good amount of customers. The staff were nice and answered our questions. The parking lot was a little confusing because you couldn’t turn in front of the shop but behind it. Will definitely come back and try...
