Cool park. A departure from normal flat sacramento, the park has a relatively deep valley in the center. The trees here are mature. Park is pretty big, several picnic tables spread throughout. There is a new small building that can be reserved for parties (has AC and kitchen sink and lots and lots of windows). Play structure is large and fun. Swings are old school, super tall! Two base ball diamonds. No basketball. Only on restroom by the playground. A couple homeless dudes are consistent residents, never bothered anyone that I know of, don't really like they hang...
Read moreGreat park for a picnic or to take your four legged friends out for a run. This park has picnic benches along it's perimeter, a bocce ball court, a kids jungle gym, and a baseball diamond. It has plenty of shade thanks to all the trees as well. Generally speaking, it's usually not too busy unless a big event was planned but even then you should be able to find a table or some space to yourself. Parking is available all around the perimeter so there is usually plenty of spots available. Come on by and check it out...

This is a place that we go yearly to have our Noon Net emergency Amateur net picnic and we have a blast every year. We have had the same spot for the past few years and it really works out for us. The only thing that seems to be a pain is that the restrooms are all of the way past the bocce ball courts.
