My wife and I decided to try out this restaurant for the first time. I ordered two carne asada tacos and a pastor sope, while my wife had a chicken burrito. The tacos were delicious, and my wife really enjoyed her burrito. This was my first time ever trying a sope, and unfortunately, it was extremely greasy.
Shortly after leaving, I noticed a severe irritation in my throat that only worsened throughout the day, to the point where it felt comparable to strep throat. Swallowing became very painful. I've never experienced such discomfort from eating Mexican food before, and I don’t typically have reactions to spicy or acidic foods. After some research, I suspect a foodborne illness from the sope might be the cause.
While the food tasted great, the severe sore throat and discomfort that followed have unfortunately left a negative impression. It’s disappointing because I was looking forward to enjoying a new dish, but the aftermath was just too unpleasant. As a result, we won’t be returning to this restaurant. The meat was so flavorful and I liked the cilantro...just the right amount. It was odd to me that they didn't serve chips and salsa but I got over it after tasting the meal...ate the whole giant thing too. The place was clean. Talked to us in rush type matter I ordered carne asada plate they gave me 6 tomatoes, spoonful of beans literally spoon full. No flavor on the beans and rice.
