I mainly came here for their authentic handcraft Xiao Long Bao. They have an open kitchen concept in which you can see them make their delicacies realtime. I ordered their spicy pork Xiao Long Bao. One order comes with 8 handcrafted pieces. They were initially really hot, but cool down fairly fast. They are delicious in my opinion. There is lots of flavor in the meat and the broth. There is a really good balance of meat, dough and broth. They are each a decent size.
I was also fortunate to try their Beef Braised Brisket Noodle Soup. The broth has a slight spice to it and although on the saltier side, it is packed with flavor. The meat is abundant and incredibly tender. The noodles are thin and have a pleasant chewy texture. The portions are generous with this soup.
The Thai iced tea has good flavor and a fair price. I wish it was creamier though. I have to be back to try their Organic Coconut Dessert.
Staff is friendly and fast. The restaurant is quite spacious and clean. They offer dine-in with indoor and outdoor seating, takeout and online orders. They also offer delivery through third party apps. It’s located in Crocker Village right in between Great Clips and Nekter Juice Bar. There is plenty is...
Read moreA nice young lady at the front. This is my first time trying a dumpling 🥟 spot but I love pot stickers! I ordered one order (8 Pcs) of pork pot stickers and one order of beef pot stickers. I was told they will be ready in ten minutes. Twenty five minutes later..... finally ready. That's too long to wait but it did look like they were made to order. This might explain the wait but I was told ten minutes. The pot stickers themselves were a nice size and had a nice amount of filling in them. Most other places skimp in the filling but not here. That would explain the high prices. I watched a few orders after me and discovered that you have to spend big money to eat here. Not a place with cheap eats. My two orders of pot stickers were $26!. The next three orders were all $60+! They tasted average and I was given the smallest containers of dipping sauce. Each container was about a half ounce each. So a total one ounce of sweet sauce, one of hot chili oil and one of soy sauce. Three ounces for sixteen pot stickers is not enough. Overall a decent spot and I would give them another shot. I just wasn't impressed...
Read moreWe were in the area for Greek food and noticed Tasty Dumpling was just a couple of shops away. I've heard about this place and have been wanting to try it. Out of curiosity, I had to order something to go, even thought we already had dinner. The wait was about 15-20 minutes because it's peak dinner time and they were busy.
We got the B1 Pork Bun $5.99 for 2 pcs. and P1. Pan Fried Juicy Pork Bun $12.95 for 6 pcs. Both dishes were excellent! We actually ate the pork buns in the car on our way home. Mind you, we had dinner already. LOL - It was that good and hard to resist the aroma of steamed buns in a tight space. The flour dough was fluffy and meat was savory. The pan fried pork bun was definitely juicy, like soup dripping from your mouth kind of juicy. I think they used the same savory meat as filling.
I plan to be back soon to try the Xiao Long Bao because it's best to eat right away. It's not the same when you get it to-go.
This is a counter service restaurant without fancy service or table setting. Just hard working Asian ladies trying to get food quickly to...
