Played a nice morning round of frisbee golf. awhile back. To my kid for the first time, she is toddler age Her and I had a wonderful time. The playground/jungle gym is quite large with some sections covered by sun screens rubber floor in some parts and the rest in small 1 in size wood mulch. Next to the playground is a water feature that many kids and adults will enjoy finding relief from Sacramentos summer heat from 12+ mister / sprayer heads. Found some great mushrooms Poppin up in the grass she was Very fascinated with them. Have not been to the pool yet. Will update about it soon.

What a cool park!! Wish there was a bit more shade cover on the actual playground. Visiting again in the spring, it's a little rough bc trash and graffiti but still not too bad. We love the train theme and the animal sculpture. Tennis courts, splash pad and skatepark make this a well rounded park. Lots of trees (also means lots of squirrels)

Interesting park. It has a tennis court. A playground for the kids. The playground is cool looking. There's two baseball fields and a pool. The part that confused me was the 9 holes of disc golf. The disc golf course goes into each other as if to sit on one another. Wouldn't recommend that sport but good idea.

I am the mother of a 3 year old boy and we like to go around to all the playgrounds we can find in the Sacramento area. We like playgrounds that have a lot of opportunities to climb as well as awesome slides and structures. McClatchy Park has very quickly become one of our absolute favorite playgrounds! It is train themed, with very unique climbing structures and awesome slides, swings, and a zip-line style hanging bar. Very very fun playground!! Adjacent to the playground is a Frisbee golf course and other ball courts. Also (and frankly, more importantly) there is a monument for the people who police have murdered, beautiful named paintings to help us to keep saying the names of the lives lost, to help us to always remember. BLACK LIVES MATTER!!!

Absolutely a beautiful park, easy parking, and kind people. I...

There are a lot of great families that bring their children out. My kids have made many friends coming here, as this is our neighborhood park. I love the fact that there is a toddler side and a bigger kid side. The play structures challenge the kids physically which was especially nice for is after covid. There can be some more sketchy activity as there is a skate park also here but everyone is pretty respectful of the play area. Also there's a pool, we haven't been but it never looked crowded when it was open last summer. I believe they're is a baseball field and disc golf course also located within the park so really fun for the...

This park is in a very rough area. Lots of crime reported in the area. We didn't knots or realize that until we were already at the park, and made our own observations.

Once you get past the "rough" thing, the parks playground is really cool. It is huge, great for even older kids, and has neat huge animals that kids can climb and play on.

We even had the sweetest conversation there, with a young lady who told us that her mom sometimes sells food there! Delightful young lady.

Hopefully the rough aspect of this playground will gradually dissipate. Great park in a rough area. We didn't...
